The Kodaly approach is about the musical recognition and musical skills that children learn at a very young age. Kodaly Educators of Georgia (n.d.) believe that music is the birthright of every child. When very young children start to learn music, they tend to grow a pattern of musical development. Zoltan Kodaly talked about the importance of influencing the musical spirit in children during a speech on Children 's Day in 1951 (cited in Feierabend, 1995). Some research shows that music education programs according to the Kodaly philosophy provides a good space to the ways of thinking and holistic development that is meaningful. These advantages consist of social emotional development, spatial-temporal reasoning, literacy and numeracy skills. Children’s capability in spatial-temporal reasoning will be improved when they receive musical training, which is imperative in science and mathematics education. The study of music is usually upheld as having additional musical impacts and the advantages will assist the development of the whole child (Goopy, 2013). The study upholds the social policy which is outlined by the Local Education Authority (LEA) which will help many types of individuals to come together and incorporate children with Additional Educational Needs (AEN) to support their communication skills.
