Back in the day, famous singers and bands made a living singing in popular Las Vegas hotels and casinos. Other than its penchant for gambling and being a world-class tourist hot spot, this urban oasis in the Mojave desert also had its fair share of hosting numerous music festivals.

Over the years, we have seen big festivals come and go in Sin City, such as Area 51 Soundtest, Neon Reverb, and the highly missed Vegoose (which everyone hopes will return soon). Currently, the Sin City's inventory is quite formidable as well, with Punk Rock Bowling, Electric Daisy Carnival, and iHeartRadio leading the way.

This in turn leads us to asking: have music festivals peaked in Las Vegas? Are we enjoying a golden age of music festivals in the City that Never Sleeps? …show more content…

Despite news of Janet Jackson backing out, the tickets are sold out and the cast is still a solid one: Demi Lovato, Fall Out Boy, Coldplay, Jason Derulo, and Jenifer Lopez are set to perform. They could have held it at a larger venue, but nevertheless, the two-day festival will still be one for the ages.

If you're going to hold a concert tour or a large event - like music festivals - Las Vegas should definitely be part of the list. Although the city lacks a major league sports team, it has more arenas and possible venues than any city in the United States, which are all possible venues for large and small music festivals. The city has never shied away from hosting huge crowds.

Speaking of crowds, it has already been proven that any events in the city can draw in spectators from all over the United States and the world, making the tourist market (41 million tourists visit the city annually) one of the largest. In terms of accommodations, the city's numerous five star hotels, nightclubs, and bars are up to the task.
