Throughout my life, I have learned patience through many people and situations. Patience is an important part of growing up and is still difficult for me. Although it is hard to be patient with others and myself, my grandmother, my siblings, and babysitting instilled patience in me. Patience is difficult to uphold, but my grandmother never loses her patience. She is an amazing woman who grew up helping to care for her fifteen brothers and sisters. She then went on to have eleven children of her own. I honestly have no idea how she raised eleven children, but she did and I have never heard one story of her losing her patience. Growing up, she taught me how to be a kind, patient, and loving person. She and I are extremely close and she encourages me to be the best person I can be. My grandmother is a true example of patience for me and she inspires me to be like her. Although my grandmother implanted in me the importance of patience, my siblings helped me exercise it.…show more content…
They know exactly what buttons to press, and they do not hesitate to push them. Although I have, and still do, blow up on them occasionally, they have forced me to be patient. My sister and I get along swimmingly for the most part, but the real problem was with my brother. He and I used to get into some pretty vicious fights. I was mean to him all the time and it has taken me sixteen years to finally get along with him. Without patience, I do not think my brother would be alive right now. My siblings do push me to the edge, but I have learned to take a deep breath and let things go. Letting things go is still my biggest struggle, but I have improved greatly.
