Today we live in a world which is one small global village, where information flows even faster than the speed of lightning. Everything is available at your fingertips at the touch of a button. It is a world which is changing every second. A Billion Dollars of wealth is created in a year’s time while others took more than a century. This fast paced, ever-changing world is throwing immense challenges and opportunities for today’s leader. He continuously has to adapt to this ever changing, fast paced environment. An environment which is as complex as it is challenging. And if you are like the most successful leaders and you have moved up the ladder, you are pretty much on your own. You no longer have a mentor or guide, which gives consideration to your regular actions. You will realize your mistakes when it’s too late to fix them. Time for correcting action would have already passed. However good a leader you are, you are not perfect; nobody is. You are bound to go wrong. The world around you will quietly change; you may not realize it. This is one of the reasons that self evaluation and assessment has become extremely important for today’s Leader.
