This changed the United States relations with Mexicans, Africans, Japanese, Chinese, Jewish, and Native Americans.

My mind was simplified by barriers constructed by everyone I tried to please; as much as life felt dull and unfulfilling I lacked ability to doubt its integrity.
During the 19th century, America promised land and opportunities for all. Though some groups of individuals left their homes willingly in order to take advantage of what America had to offer, others were forced to flee due to inhabitable conditions in their homelands. Both Chinese and Irish immigrants, however, were often disappointed with their treatment upon arrival in America. The Anglo-Saxons that first inhabited America viewed immigrants as uncivilized and quickly declared their superiority, forcing immigrants to work for them. They created laws that prevented groups from accessing similar privileges as them and racialized these groups based on their cultures and languages.

Furthermore, your personal identity is very important and at times may not be up to you to create, but your life and your success heavily relies on it. Whether or not you will have a good job and life ahead can depend on your identity because your perspective and views are what guide you to do things. An example of identity leading to success in a person’s life is Bill Gates who is the richest man in the world. Bill Gates did not grow up in a bad environment, he didn’t do drugs and illegal things and was instead very determined.
How others see you is influenced by material, social, and physical constraints.
