Mark Twain takes an interesting approach to explain human nature in his work, “The Lowest Animal”. For example,“[h]e is the only one that inflicts pain for the pleasure of doing it” (Twain 538). People understand that hurting another human being is wrong, whether that be physical or mental abuse. However they sometimes do it anyways for the satisfaction that the action provides.

The ‘he’ referred to is retail anthropologist and urban geographer, Paco Underhill. There is a true science to how every single shopping location displays it’s products.

A way to encourage scientific enquiry in the classroom is through the use of practical investigations. In the context of thinking and working scientifically, investigations are activities where children can use their conceptual understanding and knowledge of science to find solutions to problems and questions (Skamp, 2012). Supported by Ward et al. (2006) who say that the term investigation is used for activities requiring children to make choices about what to change and measure. Instances where science lessons are practical and focus on the development skills linked with scientific enquiry and where emphasis was placed on the children carrying out investigations independently, were the most beneficial (Ofsted 2010).
Animals in Research and Testing According to PETA, the animals who are in research and testing “shake and cower in fear whenever someone walks past their cages and their blood pressure spikes drastically. After enduring lives of pain, loneliness and terror, almost all of them will be killed,” (“Animal Testing 101”). Animal-testing is the use of non-human animals in research and development projects, especially for purposes of determining the safety of substances, such as foods, beauty products, and/or drugs. Although animal research plays a crucial role in experiments focused on disease treatments and preventions, it is cruel, inhumane, and should be stopped. This is an act that should be banned and prohibited in all states and countries
Medical Research has the potential to advance society and make life better for everyone in it. To be able to discover and answer the cause-and-effect relationship is a strength of quantitative research. Lastly, in quantitative research, the study can either be experimental or nonexperimental, meaning clinical trial or observational study, allowing for different types of research studies to be conducted.
