Sociology is the study of development and how people are interacting in human society. As civilized people, interacting with one another, we learn the reason people make their decisions accordingly. Each value a person has with the decision made is tied back to sociology. While understanding each person’s action and interest, it leaves a clearer reason of the world we live in. Future Business Leaders of America, a group that I have been a member in for two years. FBLA is a leadership group that has state/national project competitions, conferences, meetings and volunteer options. All of the opportunities lead the members with business experience. In society as a whole, the group is known for our hard work, involvement and teamwork. My favorite macro level theory is the Functionalism theory. Functionalism is how well each other works together to create a structure in society. Functionalism has norms and traditions. As leaders, the schools FBLA chapter has norms of promoting characteristics of good students. In our FBLA chapter, we have had a few questioning behavior issues. One of the issues was about a post on instagram by one of the members and the officer positions called a meeting for their thoughts. As the officers talked about the situation, that was creating functions in our group. The problem was easy to resolve without dysfunction because of the understanding to listen in situations.
