For decades, even centuries, us human beings have been craving to explore what lies beyond our earth’s atmosphere - the universe. But without the correct equipment, machinery or apparatus, how is it possible? Thankfully, with the invention of space rockets, we now have the opportunity to travel into outer space and explore things far beyond our imagination. Through the use of space rockets, we have secured better knowledge of our solar systems through a variety of space explorations ; such as the Apollo (Moon), Venera (Venus) and Viking (Mars). Perhaps the most well known space mission - Apollo 11 was the first ever spaceflight that allowed humans to land on the moon, and to quote Neil Armstrong, “That’s one small step for man, one giant …show more content…
This tells us that whenever one object pushes another, it will get pushed back to the opposite direction with the same force. For a rocket to move, it uses an unbalanced force. When the rocket travels in space, there is no air friction, which explains why rockets work better in space than in air. When the hot exhaust made through combustion within the engine escapes from the ‘nozzle’ of the shuttle, it allows the shuttle to move forward and accelerate slightly. In response, the nozzle from move away from the hot exhaust gas to create a ‘equal and opposite reaction’, a thrust that will move the rocket. Not only have we learnt more about the universe that surrounds Mother Earth, different astronauts have brought back actual samples of lunar rocks, dust and basalts etc that existed on the surfaces of Moon and Mars. The prominent Apollo missions that commenced during the 1960’s - 1970’s have helped us to reach to a variety of conclusions and statements about the moon, and broke and solved many conspiracy theories. Some of the most outstanding discoveries are the moon being lifeless as it “contains no living organisms, fossils or native organic compounds”( http://airandspace.si.edu/explore-and-learn/topics/apollo/apollo-program/apollo-results/), the Moon is not ancient and the fact that the Moon and Earth are genetically related. Beside these theories, scientists were able to define the history and former events that occurred on the moon, all thanks to the Apollo mission, which could not have been possible without a space rocket. Moreover, there were also other missions such as Hubble - a space telescope that had the ability to snap pictures in space, which completely transformed the way we see the universe, Viking - first man made object able to land on the mysterious red planet, and having the ability to take full colored snapshots of the Martian surface. Corps of Discovery and Apollo 11: Explorers of New Frontiers Americans have always been astonished by uncharted regions. When faced with new frontiers, the American people never shy away from exploring these mysterious territories. The “Corps of Discovery” and “Apollo 11” were two brave teams whose story captured the imaginations of Americans all across the nation and influenced their dreams of discovery. When the United States accepted The Louisiana Purchase of 1803, 827,000 square miles of unexplored land was added to the country.

But one police officer (Will Smith) doesn't trust the robots and thinks they've become too untrustworthy. He soon finds himself to be right.
My father was in disbelief, no one ever thought something could have gone wrong because the launches were so
[They were] huge” (qtd. in Gaudin). Firefighters today use liquid-cooled suits based on those created for Apollo astronauts. The freeze-dried food developed for Apollo astronauts to eat in space is now used for military field rations and survival gear. One of the greatest accomplishments of the Apollo missions was the integrated circuit, which led to the microchip used today. Created to minimize the amount of mass launched into space, integrated circuits are used in almost all technology today (Gaudin).
It was a great day for America as we won the “Space Race” and got safely to the moon, but not everyone was happy. In this essay, I will be talking about why some conspiracy theorists think that the historical moon landing of 1969 was staged and why I still believe that it was in fact, real. To begin, I will be showing you some evidence theorists use to support their claim of the landing being fake. The first is that when
On July 20th, 1969, the Apollo 11 with astronaut Neil Armstrong and his crew, guided by thousands of NASA technicians, supposedly landed on the surface of the moon. It was certainly one of the most extraordinary events accomplished by mankind up to that date. Neil Armstrong’s first words upon stepping on the moon surface will always be remembered “ A small step for mankind, a giant leap for humanity”. Ever since then, this achievement has been a matter of discussion by several groups that either believed or disbelieved this.

The moon revolves around the Earth, and objects fall because of gravity. At one point, during the 17th and 18th century, this new concept, and much more like it, was the talk of the town. This time period was called the scientific revolution, where philosophers and scientists questioned the views on the world resulting in unfamiliar discoveries and the creation of new ideas. Science has influenced culture, religion, and government during this time as it made its crucial impact for their different way of thinking. Science was an important factor when it comes to progress within their society as there were many new findings.
The moon: a ball of rock orbiting earth. Although the moon has been thoroughly researched, countless mysteries still remain. In addition to theories about the moon 's composition and interior structure, the most important question remains unanswered: "Where did the moon come from?" In an attempt to better understand the origin of the moon, the Capture Theory, Fission Theory, Impact Theory, and, the most logical, Sister Theory, have been discussed. A video of the moon landing, in addition to further geological evidence, has been collected and used as challenging points towards questioning its originality.
After World War II the new war began. It was called the Cold War. The Cold War was conflict between the two greatest powers on the earth. The United States and the Soviet Union. The two countries wanted to prove their technology, military power, economic system, and political system.
Space has helped hone the skills of scientist. By using satellite technology for space, they were able to use the same concept for Earth. Even with all the benefits of space, its major down falls are cost, risks, and low chances of reward for their efforts. Many space explorations cost fortunes with little to come out of it, making it almost seem not worth it. The risk is another key factor, with little known about the majority of space, many outliers can appear out of nowhere and can cause death to anyone that happens to be working up there.

Space exploration has long been a debated topic. From the days where there was controversy between whether the universe revolved around the Earth, because god made humans special, to whether Copernicus’s idea that the Earth and the other planets of the solar system revolve around the sun was true. Then there was the space race where there was a dilemma based on what was ethical to be produced and sent to space (such as weaponry during the cold war). The more contemporary problem involves the exploration of space and the danger that space debris poses. We must accept however that space is our back-up plan if we were to exploit the Earth to such an extent that we could no longer survive here.
I. Introduction a. Now let me tell you one thing, are you satisfied with how our world is. If we were to stop all research and development of new technologies, would that sit well with you? I am not ok with this because I for see a vast and great future for our nation and this future is set to begin in the stars. Our nation the United States needs to boost its efforts in the exploration of outer space and as well as be the front runner in this pursuit for new knowledge. b.
