Throughout a childhood, every child has something that, that child can be passionate about. Something that when engaging in the activity, that child is lost in the activity and focus on it, enjoy it, and love it. For me that activity was sports. Sports are important to me and have helped shape me as a person and made me who I am today giving me a positive and happy spin on life. First reason this thesis is true is when I am participating in a sport, it provides me with an escape from my life and relieves a lot of the stressful things associated with my life. This being one of the most important reasons on why I love sports because in the past few years I have had a lot a trouble finding happiness and events to look forward to, as it seems like this are always getting worse and worse; Sports have always been there for me and always provide something for me to look forward and provide the happiness I can never seem to find anymore. Also sports provide with an escape from the real world, as during a practice or a game, the moment I step onto the hockey rink or baseball diamond, I forget about all my troubles and just focus on the game. This is such an important point to me, as I am constantly stressed out about topics such as events that happened in my past or homework (as it always sits in my head and most of the time I use all the spare time I have to complete it as I am always so busy with other events), work, picking schools to move onto, it just all becomes so overwhelming and I use sports to forget about it all for a brief time period and look forward to and/or be happy and enjoy the
