Interpersonal Skills are the skills that we use in our everyday life which is also known as people skills. It is because this skill is related to the way you communicate and interact with the people around you on a day to day basis.
This part of the business is very important as it helps the business to run successfully. Time management helps you to plan on how much you going to spend on an activity, so you will not miss on anything important on the business.
What the American Dream means to me is happiness. Being happy and not having to worry about food, shelter, and/or health. To have a healthy life, family, and relationships whether it be friends or family. The company of my co-op placement for this semester is Bank of Montreal (BMO), which is located at First Canadian Place on 100 King Street West. BMO is a large financial corporation that is owned by shareholders. As one of the “Big Five” banks in Canada, BMO has over 960 branches, and over 46, 000 employees across Canada. In my particular department -- scanning and documentation, I work with a team of 25 people. There are certain facilities provided for employees, including coffee machines, vending machines, a lounge area, and a television. As to eating establishments, the food court at First Canadian Place offer a variety of restaurants such as Jimmy The Greek, Subway, and UMI Sushi Express, Furthermore, the dress code for all BMO employees is to dress business
I believe high schools should keep sports because they help grow leadership skills, it evolves social relationships, and it shows an increase in student academics.

The word ‘team’ can be defined as a group of people working together towards a common goal. A team also generally is known as a group of people with different skills and different tasks, who works together on a common project, services, or goal. Then, the important thing in teamwork is ‘collaboration’, which is the act of working effectively with others to achieve a common goal. Collaboration acts as the lifeblood in the team, even the team is not large enough, but the collaboration is required.
There are many reasons for conflict; many people in the workplace have different personalities and also views and beliefs, this can clash and lead to conflict. The factor of poor communication plays a big part as it can lead to misunderstanding because the facts are interrupted in a different way, this can result in deadlines not being met. Change can also lead to conflict, this is seen when Spector has got a promotion and Litt is unhappy with it, there is conflict between both on them. It is also the completion between team members which causes conflict between them. There are two difference types of conflict; functional and dysfunctional conflict. Functional conflict is when the different parties deal with the conflict in a healthy way where they respect each other’s opinions. The outcome is very positive and can to innovation, creativity and also a higher productivity rate. It is vital that both parties listen to each other’s point of view and then they acknowledge the opposing view. The outcome of functional conflict is; it can create awareness of the problem which can then be solved, team members can consider a new rage on ideas and it can clear any misconceptions that were there. Dysfunctional conflict is normally cased because of people’s misconceptions, their ambitions and egos and also them not wanting to compromise. The conflict between Sepector and Litt is seen as dysfunctional, both of their egos get in the way and they also refuse to compromise. The main cause of dysfunctional conflict is mainly a misunderstanding and miscommunication. The manger has to step in if the situation has an impact on the productivity, like Pearson had to step in with Litt and Spector, she has to call them to her office and make them resolve the issue. This is called compromising and the manager had to find an acceptable solution to satisfy both
In essence, teamwork can be defined as a group of people working in the same direction and for a common purpose. Teamwork requires individuals be a team player and to be able to work well with others; after all, there is no “I” in “Team”!

Also in Stephen Covey’s book ‘The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People’ he states that in his career spanning more than 25 years in business, university and other fields, he has come in contact with several individuals who have achieved pinnacles of outward success but somehow have found themselves struggling with an inner hunger which includes a need for personal development and developing a healthy as well as effective growing relationship with people, (Covey, 1989). Directly or indirectly he explained the importance of these skills. One may question what does actually mean by this term, well soft skills can be defined as personal characteristics that enable an individual to interact effectively and harmoniously with other individuals. Ironically, for most of the people soft skills are the hardest to develop.
Teamwork means that a group of people work with us to achieve a common goal, so selecting the team members is very important to help the team in achieving the goal of the team. Through my participation in this team learned a lot of teamwork and contributed to all my ideas that benefit the subject.
In today’s world where the survival of the fittest is the norm, it has become critical to sharpen soft skills along with hard skills. Soft skills play a vital role in the success of an organization and therefore, their significance cannot be overlooked in this age of information and technology. Considering the fact that during the last decades, the role of soft skills for a successful career has increased notably, it is of high importance to acquire adequate soft skills beyond technical knowledge and expertise.
