Internet – the bedrock of modern life
Game changer, it is how we call to those changed our world completely. In these decades, the era of information technology, our living is highly depending and related to the Internet, which had been an irreplaceable fragment of our lives. Before digging into more about it, what does the word “internet” mean? Told by its name, it is a net but widely connected to other nets worldwide. Through such innovation and development of it, our lives got more easy and convenient. Things can be done much faster and efficiently. We did a great deal convenience and revolutionary services, took our living efficiency and quality into an incomparable level. Take long distance communication as an example, it was time-consuming and expensive before internet, since it required a real mailman to deliver the letter physically. Now, through e-mail, receiver can receive the message immediately, right after it was shipped. Recently, we have stepped even further, thanks to technology advance and innovation, we had services like Google, for finding information efficiently, in year 2012, there were already average 100 billion searches per month (Sullivan, 2012); FaceTime, for face-to-face communication regardless physical distance; Amazon, for made purchasing process easier and more convenience, etc. All of these are what we love and rely on nowadays, reformed and improved our living significantly. The book called “Game Changers” by Mike Lupica is a story about a boy named Ben McBain who is very small but is the best quarterback his football team has but another kid named Shawn O’Brian who clearly does not deserve to be the starting quarterback gets it, all because his dad is the head coach. Ben does not want to be a bad teammate, so he helps Shawn become a better quarterback. Shawn does become a better quarterback but he does not become better then Ben. Ben does end up getting his chance at being quarterback.

My Practice Currently, a substitute teacher I teach five to thirteen year old students with and without special educational needs. I have come to observe that my practice reflects a multitude of learning theory relationships, particularly; behaviourism, humanism, cognitivism, choice theory and social-constructivism.
