China is the leading country in the world regarding to its GDP and the economy. It is also known to be the most-visited countries. Shanghai, as the center of finance in China, the rate of tourism and expats is high, although it is noticeable that it had been decreasing since the last few years. The level of tourism has declined since the last time that Shanghai’s air quality had refreshed its record. It is very noticeable that the slowdown of the arrival of tourists started in the year of 2012. The cause to this is due to the high rate of air quality, when the PM2.5 reached 300 (Real Time 2013). Tourists started to take into account the weather and air condition in Shanghai before booking the travel. Not only tourist had a slowdown, but also the amount of expats coming to Shanghai. The population is slowly decreasing from the country mainly because of this policy. This sudden decrease is mainly affecting the farmers of China who mostly rely on their children to do the farm work.
