It is said by Shelby Foote, an American historian and novelist:
“A university is just a group of buildings gathered around a library.”
When we think about university, one thing definitely comes in our mind that how would be the lobby and ho would be the canteen area? Will it be boring? The answer is very clear NO! Because when u start exploring u find new people, class fellows which become friends very soon and u start your conversations, you share your emotions, your secrets everything there.

Following this advanced trend, university fellows also love to take selfies at every moment, in library, at cafeteria, in rest rooms as well as during lectures some extraverts click selfies hidden from the eye of the teacher. Life at university is full of memories and we all enjoy it with zeal and zest. We all as a student’s wanted to make most of the each and every moment we are spending together. Prior to the work and professional life.
University life must be spent in a balanced manner. Neither one should study all the time ignoring all the fun and enjoyment they can have with their buddies nor one should always be indulge themselves in fun, gossips and other activities apart from studies completely ignoring the studies.
Some students are there in university for passing the semesters and moving on to next semester. Those kind of students can just have a degree in the end with no learning, no
However, when he is with them, they do not want to share in conversation but wish to be alone with their thoughts. “When I am with others, I want to share stories or to discuss, and when I wish to have my own thoughts, I prefer to be
In “Analects Book XIV” it reads: “The Master said: “In the old days, people studied to improve themselves. Now they study in order to impress others.” (p. 1342) Over time people have limited themselves just to fit into the role of what society deems as successful. We live in a world that places a higher value on what you own rather than who you are and what you know.
In college you gain experiences that you cannot get anywhere else. You get a taste of real life in college. Even if students are not dorming, we all still learn a lot about life. We go to a school where we may not not know anybody at all, the professors do not baby you like high school
They show drinking and partying as the center of college life. When academics are mentioned, the characters are either cramming for exams or creating cheating rings to avoid worrying. Students think that they won’t have to go to class and won’t have to worry about studying because you can learn everything from cramming the night before an exam. Hollywood has given both groups an unrealistic view of life and sets them up for a rude awakening once they see what reality holds for
I never attended a university, but my expectation was high. Once I started, I realized the educational level was poor. Although every school is a business and designed to collect revenue. I felt this university did not care as long as they was getting paid. My major is criminal Justice, majority of the classes that is required to get a degree is repetitive.
A political interest group also called an advocacy group, lobbying group, pressure group, or special interest group is determined to persuade or prevent changes in public policy. They have shared ideas and try to influence change in policy. The American political system no longer operates with the American people in mind. Instead, lobbyists and special interest groups govern America, according to their own agendas, not the wishes of the people. Lobbyists and special interest groups buy up support from elected officials in order to push their agendas through.
Over the last few decades, the United States Congress has debated numerous campaign finance reforms. Debated proposals have included limiting independent expenditures, raising limits on individual contributions, banning all private campaign contributions, and creating a public financing campaign system. In many of the debates, compelling arguments exist for both the proponents and the opponents. Generally, arguments are predicated upon constitutional concepts, Supreme Court rulings, standard policy, logic and reason, and personal perspectives.
Interest groups create a lot of controversy and contention. Some critics and faultfinder accuse and even blame this groups for many of the issues in America. Other individuals, on the other hand, see interest groups as a key segment of the American vote based framework. In this essay I will analyze both sides and support it with details about how this groups affect positively and negatively during USA elections process. Interest groups are one critical system through which citizens in the United States make their thoughts, ideas, needs and perspectives known to elected authorities.
1. They are important source of information. A member who is part of congress has to evolve themselves with many policy areas. But a lobbyists can confine themselves to one area and can by providing specialized expertise. If the information is powerful, then the lobbyist can be an allies. 2.
Students become “obsessed with their studies” and nothing else becomes important (Zinsser). This produces an accumulation of students who don’t spend time to do extracurricular activities. The mixture of pressure from peers and from one’s self allows a chain of events that lead to undesirable
America is known by many to be the best countries in the world but there are still many things that stand in the way of the american dream (Stealing From America). One of these things is corporate lobbyist. These people have slowly taken over american democracy with pay to play corruption and giant lobbying teams (The Atlantic). Nowadays unions and protest have been much less successful in stopping the behemoth that is a corporate lobbying team(Secular Talk). Corporation will continue to grow wealth inequality in america if we do nothing about it.
In a layman’s term, advocacy is the move to make the voice of the marginalised and vulnerable people heard. Everybody have rights and needs that must be met but some group of people, due to their inability or difficulty to voice out their minds, are unable to meet these needs or demand for their rights and entitlements; when it comes to making decisions that pertain to their lives, their voice and feelings are (sometimes) being ignored and they are treated as if they do not exist. Advocacy is the forum through which the rights of the marginalised are campaigned, and through where appropriate quarters are challenged for these group’s exclusion. According to Solomam (1985), it “involves either an individual or group, or their representatives, pressing their case with
There are different kinds of student who are members of academic activities such as quiz bee, speech choir, declamation, and etc. School are not just a place for academic
They should not pressure their children anymore and give a lot of love and support in whatever their children decisions are. University students also need to help themselves by open up more to other people and have good time
I would encourage them to create an interest group. An interest group would gain more support than if they were a political party. Interest groups influence society directly while political parties seek financial backing from elitists. It would be difficult to obtain enough support with only a single issue as their focus. As an interest group, it would gain stronger public backing from various individuals.
