Vitamins

Vitamins are substances consisting of chemical compounds. The human body needs vitamins and minerals to be healthy.
The body gets most of the necessary vitamins and minerals from the food consumed.
Vitamins are responsible for the chemical reactions in the body that convert food into energy, vitamins needed in very small quantities of the body.

The body requires a total of thirteen vitamins of which four can be produced within the body. the vitamins produced in the body is Biotin, Pantothenic Acid, vitamin K and D Biotin, Pantothenic acid and vitamin
K is produced in the human intestine. Vitamin D produced by the solar light on the body, the rest must come from the daily diet.

So the answer to the question is that you can actually overdose on vitamins and other supplements, almost anything is toxic if consumed in excess, including salt, alcohol and even water. Water-soluble vitamins - such as the B group vitamins and vitamin C - can not be stored by the body to any great extent, so if you take more than your body needs, they will disappear from the body through urine. But the fat soluble vitamins A and D can be stored in the body, but they do not endanger your health if consumed according to the recommendations given to them by experts.
As the body ages, it becomes less efficient at absorbing some of the nutrients from our diet, such as when we get older, the body has less ability to absorb iron. On the other hand, we are also more susceptible to the toxicity of the water-soluble vitamins due to the kidneys is less effective. These vitamins include vitamin B1 (thiamine), vitamin B2 (riboflavin), vitamin B3 (niacin), vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid), Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), vitamin B12 (the cobalamins ), biotin and folic acid.

All B-complex vitamins perform separate functions of the body and have unique structures. Biotin and vitamins B1, B2 and B3 all have roles in energy production.
