Over centuries, wealth has become one of the main factors of controlling and influencing society. Individuals are continually viewing money as the root of all evil, but this is in fact inaccurate. Money can also be beneficial, however, it relies on the way one decides how to utilize it. Though with society viewing money as the key to the road of success, it has often guided people to fall into the trap of greed. Wealth can elicit the temptation and overpass greediness as well as overturn circumstances in order to become wealthier. Bill Taylor’s article, “Understanding Money and the Meaning of Life” has established that social class is not important when it comes to being wealthy. Unfortunately, not everyone is born wealthy, so having wealth is like glory and heaven as most individuals do not have enough money to pay for the basic necessities in life while some individuals are selfish and want wealth all for their own. Therefore, leading to countless of individuals to proceed beyond the extent to at least gain or receive an amount of wealth.Furthermore, when it comes to the topic of how much is enough in regards to achieving wealth there is a certain limitation yet, unfortunately, a majority of society are willing to go beyond that limit to achieve it, despite the consequences. Moreover, for a while, people have presumed that individuals who are wealthy live a content life not having to worry or stress over a single hair in the world. However, that is far from reality as the majority of wealthy people now and days are depressed and some going as far as committing suicide. Unfortunately, countless of people believe that wealth can buy one 's happiness but that is false. It can elevate an individual mood for a limited period of time but it cannot change how one is. In fact, in Taylor article,“ Understanding Money and the Meaning of Life” Taylor learns from Needleman that wealth cannot change one 's internal makeup, “ Money truly can not buy happiness, especially if you’re unhappy, to begin with. “If you are worrying about vegetables now, you’ll be worrying about yachts then,” Needleman joked. “You’re a worrier. It’s in you, not the money. Life, except for the obvious physical needs, is not so much defined by the external situation as by the inner one. Having money won’t change your internal makeup.” Multiple individuals would agree with Needleman statement one cannot expect that once an individual acquires wealth they will be living a blissful life and that all of their problems will be rid of. A person who anxious will still continue to be an anxious person with wealth. Money cannot change how one is that is instead determined by the individual.
