The forth cause , their culture is based on taking risks , developing ideas and working hard. The fifth cause, the existence of the resources which are wanted close to each other like the coal and the iron. The sixth cause is the new technology that is allowed by the scientific revolution and the innovation which increased the production and made it cheaper. The seventh and the last cause is the export of hand made goods and importing different materials were allowed because of the imperialistic trade routes. These are the causes that started the industrial revolution in
The industrial revolution was the rapid change and enhancement of the production of goods and services during in the 18-19th century that began in Britain before spreading to the rest of the world. Two of the causes of the Industrial Revolution was the influx of new jobs and inventions + scientific revolution. The rush for new jobs as a result of large, newly build factories that demand workers. It was a massive change from home manufacturing to mass production machines. Life-changing inventions such as the steam engine, and the scientific revolution that surfaced during the industrial revolution that made a direct impact then and it still continues to impact today, allowed for new technology to increase and cheapen production.
To what extent did the technological developments of the Industrial revolution contribute to economic change in the period The Industrial Revolution sparked a new era of economic growth. It created many doors of opportunities for everyone. The Industrial Revolution introduced to us many important technological developments which forever changed the way goods and products were manufactured. The technological developments contributed to economic changes significantly, many of the developments assisted the growth of the economy, such as the factory system, which revolutionised the way products are manufactured. The factory system was a vital technological development which greatly affected the economy by producing goods more efficiently and at a larger scale.
The idea that the change of ideas in marriage and family was because the majority of the population of Britain was the factory workers. The industrial revolution allowed the population of Britain to increase dramatically. “It has often been supposed that British population growth was a response to the expansion of manufacturing in the later eighteenth century and a perception that large families could become an economic asset through widening openings for child labor” (The Rise of Respectable Society, Pg. 52). Not only did a large family put an economic asset on the family, the idea of being able to work changed the idea of marriage and family too.
A decline in transport costs helped create a rapid expansion of global trade and economic growth. The rise of new industries and factories led to the generation of more jobs in the manufacturing sector. When the mass production of the Industrial Revolution flooded the market with affordable consumer goods, these manufactured goods greatly improved the living conditions of the citizens of these industrialized countries. The middle class population could afford the goods anyway, the prices lowered even more, they now had different options to choose from, they could enjoy the comfort and convenience of the new products being made. The standard of living rose, the cost of living decreased, the population experienced a large
Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, Jay Gould, were able to establish monopolies over certain industries. The monopolies these men held allowed them to grow their wealth to a level that was previously unknown. Their money was dependant upon their factories operating continuously, which created a demand for unskilled labor. To acquire the unskilled laborers, the business owners employed many people, who worked long hours and therefore made money that they otherwise would not have had. The big business owners did not want the government to regulate their factories, and due to their money, they were able to keep the government from passing labor laws for a time.
He also argues that before the 1750 the growth was followed by reduction and stagnation. The Industrial Revolution was called ‘revolutionary’ for the technological development it witnessed and the after transformation of the country’s economy were not temporary events and moved to society to a stable different economic path. Moreover, it demands that for an event to qualify as a revolution it should follow a period of an unchanging state; even political revolutions that occurred in history has not yet met this expectation. In addition, revolutions are dignified by its intellectual depth and long-term effectivity. With the statement said the Industrial Revolution in Britain was so profound that only few political revolutions had far-reaching consequences, that the after of 1960 is beyond one’s doubt (Mantoux,
Without the Industrial Revolution, it can be argued that the world today would not have a better standard of living through technology advancements, medication and educations. First of all, Industrial Revolution had formed a very good platforms for the inventors. Therefore, many of the inventions was introduced to the public during this period of time. Every single invention had great impacts on the changing of the society. Throughout the period of Industrial Revolution, Technology played an important role where it led to the modern world we have today.
Another leading reason would be that Industrialization increased population which would embolden people to discover new lands and regions. This era was good for factory owners such as Richard Arkwright. But unfortunately it wasn’t particularly successful for factory workers. No one outside the thick factory walls knew this sad, hermetical problem. It has positive impacts such as that rural areas had closer relationships with cities which made them
