The development of a child is initially the outcome of the environment of the family, however, peer overtakes the socialization process with the selection and adoption of lifestyle, appearance, socialization activities and academics etc. Naz et al. (2014). To their journal entitled Peer and Friends and Career Decision Making: A Critical Analysis Arab Naz stated that peer and friends are pivotal and dramatic in shaping individual’s perceptions, attitude and ideas to understand the outside world, as well as the decisions in future lives and additionally, friends and peers, are helpful in examining and scrutinizing feelings, beliefs, and ideas in an acceptable manner. And at this level of decision making among youth, studies report that most of the decisions are dependent on ability, education, teacher’s advice, and also the level of counseling with peers and even cultural and familial background of friends.
Social media in education advantages & disadvantages. Social media and networking sites encourage students to interact with each other, share ideas and to express their creativity. Social media helps also help to establish enduring relationships with real people. A few examples are: Facebook can help students overcome isolation that otherwise might lead them to drop out of school. Twitter another social media website can provide shy students with information about events that leads to “face-to-face” encounters with other students.
Furthermore, in the society or in any social circle where young learners operate, the ability to speak and to listen is crucial in the development of their total personality and eventually social horizon. Children need to speak what they need, feel, and think to be addressed, helped, and understood. Good speaking and listening skills have benefits in one’s personal life which includes wider social circles, improved self-esteem and confidence, favorable academic work and more. In addition to these, Palmer (2014) mentioned in the introduction of his book, Teaching the Core Skills of Listening and Speaking, that making students listen a lot does not automatically make them good listeners, and occasionally making them speak in front of the class does not automatically make them good speakers. From a social psychologist point of view, trust focuses on the performance between two people that may create or destroy trust at an interpersonal or group level (Rempel, Roses & Holmes, 1985). The prominence of trust is significant in a love relationship when a partner decides to grow on a long term basis. Hence, this would mean that it depends on each other’s cooperation in building trust together. Additionally, this refers to efforts such as possessing positive attitudes and being able to reserve one another. As a result, relationships can be described as mature as trust is strengthen.
This is one way in which social media show to be of service to students. When used correctly it can be an excellent form of communication with friends and family across the globe. Smart phones have now made access to social media networks a lot easier. This allows students to access these networks from almost anywhere, therefore increasing the use. It can even now be used in classrooms where students sometimes disregard the work being taught.
There should be awareness programs in schools and universities that address the students to monitor the most important pros and cons for using social networking sites. 4. A number of conferences and seminars should be arranged that address the best means and technological action mechanisms to overcome or control in reducing the negative aspects of the using social networking sites by helping of programmers and specialists in information and communication technologies. 5. Use of volunteers from youth to address all members of the family, society and specially youth in New Media and Mass Communication of various gatherings both malls and markets or parks or gardens or recreational facilities or beaches through a campaign for raise awareness with the positive and negative aspects that resulting from using social networking sites, and it may be under the slogan (together to protect our youth against negative aspects of social networking sites).
Social networking is the connection of friends or family together which allow people to communicate easily. With social networking sites people can have a long chain of friends they can chat or share information with. Mostly students devote more attention to social media than they do to their studies. Students’ addictiveness to social network, students’ frequency of exposure to social network, social media network that the students are more exposed to and the influence of social media as a medium of interaction between students has been part of discussion in recent times and which have imparted on their academic performance. This synopsis thesis addresses the issue of the effectiveness of using social networking.

Because of the ability of publishing information that the internet provides, developing the student’s skills of dealing with digital information is essential [11]. Students ' digital information and communication skills, including different aspects of knowledge, beliefs, attitudes, and ICT values have become important during the last decade; [11]. The network analysis can be used as a method for evaluating interaction and relationships between students and the impact of this relationship on learning [12].
Personally I think the internet makes people all around the world get connected to one another and make friends together. To show my stance, the internet is really a good tool for us to use and it is really a blessing. Firstly, Social media networks are designed for the purpose of communal connections. Students are using Facebook , Twitter , Instagram and even skype to connect to those around them . It is not only bring us closer together but also allows us to forge bonds by using social platform.

In other words, we have the opportunity to send messages and receive a response immediately. In addition, Troudi (2014) mentions that technology gives to teachers the opportunity to vary lesson presentation styles, as a result, it increases students motivation for learning, he also discuss that technology provides learning opportunities outside the classroom, therefore, it increase student interaction with the
