For culture I decided to take a picture of the American Flag which represents the american culture. The american flag represents american culture in many different, unique ways. The flag of the United States is a symbol of our country’s principles, values, and traditions. It represents America’s history and its large contribution to making life better, including the service many Americans gave to the country’s armed forces. It represents the total experience of America and the American people from the founding of our nation to the present. A symbol’s meaning is rooted in its perception and that perception is shaped over time and defined by what a person experiences throughout life. Because of this, a symbol’s meaning can also change over time. The Confederate flag, one of America’s most controversial symbols, has a long history. When the Confederate flag was first used post-Civil War, it typically accompanied some kind of Confederate memorial or monument dedication (Martinez, 2008).
What the United States Flag Stands for The flag of the United States of America is a symbol of freedom and democracy. As I walk up the narrow steps in front of my high school every morning, it sways in the forceful breeze as a constant reminder of those who have come before me and will continue to protect my rights as an American citizen. I am honored to live in a country that has men and women willing to sacrifice everything so I have access to my rights. Men and women who give up the comfort of their families to protect mine.

This argument will discuss whether the confederate flags are right or wrong symbols of Southern culture. The Confederate flag was a flag that the southern states used in the Civil War. Now the Southern states say that is their modern culture while the rest of the US says that the flag stands for racial discrimination. In this essay, I will let you read what is the Southern United States’ perspective of the argument. In the next paragraph, is the reasoning behind the argument of the rest of the US against using the Confederate flag.
The confederate flag was a sign of the confederate states and the fallen tributes in the war. The flag never ceased being the flag of the Confederate soldier and still today commands wide respect as a memorial to the Confederate soldier. African-American newspapers decried the flag’s popularity
The collection focuses on the way that we relate and accept others. In the performance task, many of the text read that will be refered to show how there are other cultures, traditions and ways that things are different in societies. The United States flag is an emblem. An emblem with many facets that mean starkly different things depending on the perspective, some not so pleasant. In the beginning with the best of intentions at heart this nation was founded and our flag stood for liberty, freedom, and justice for all. As the years have passed the meaning has shifted and molded to fit the ever changing ideology of those who call the United States home. ????
The American Flag should be protected from desecration because it is a symbol of what this country has fought for, what we continue to fight for, and how amazing of a country the United States really is. I am very much against desecration of the American flag because it disrespects something that means so much to me and so many other people in this country. The American Flag isn’t just something that hangs on a pole outside someone’s house or business, it is a symbol of what this country has fought for since it was founded on July 4, 1776. It is a symbol of all the brave men and women that have lost their life fighting to protect this country and making it the great country that it is today. One of the reasons why I feel the American flag should

WOOSTER — Whenever President Barack Obama or Gov. John Kasich order flags to be flown half-staff, there is a good chance the Wayne County commissioners will be receiving a complaint or two because the courthouse flag never lowers. More precisely, the courthouse flag is only lowered when it is being replaced. When the president or governor has ordered the flags lowered to honor a prominent person’s death or national tragedy, all of the flags on county property are lowered, except the courthouse, and this bothers some.

Culture is a way of thinking, a way of behaving and learning. We express our opinions based upon our beliefs, and define ourselves by what aspects of our culture we choose to show. Culture's impact on someone's perspective of others and the world is greater than its other influencers because it can change how you interact with people, your ability to change, and your opinions of the world.
The American flag resonates deeply within me, representing the love, freedom, and admiration that has shaped my life. Not only has the American flag acted as a symbol of unity for our nation, but it represents the values and history of the lives we live today. The eye-catching colors and stars are special to millions of people as they also hold a special place in my heart. Growing up the red and white stripes mixed with the blue and white stars has always caused me to love looking at this flag. Although, it was not until I grew older that I realized how much love I have for this flag as it is the reason I live the life I live today.
This is also connected because it reminds me where my family is from. My culture is based around this flag because it makes me who I am. It’s important to me because it came from my great grandparents who passed it down so we know where our
