I remember a lesson as a young child at six years old about accepting responsibility for my actions. One day while playing baseball with some neighborhood kids, my baseball cap went missing at the playground. Later on that evening I played in a little league baseball game at the local park. One of my teammates left his baseball cap on the bench after the game as he walked away. I decided that I would replace my stolen cap with the cap he left behind. When I got home, my mother asked me about the cap I was wearing. I told her that someone took my cap when I was playing in the playground earlier, and now I have a new cap. My mother took the cap from me, and looked inside to see if there was a name in the cap. The hat had Joey’s name and address
When Mrs. Walsh returned to the toy department some 10 to 15 minutes later, Adam was gone. Mrs. Walsh frantically searched for her son. She first searched the immediate area and when she did not find Adam she went to the customer service department and asked to have him paged over the store’s
Mom was at the store and I was glad to see her. She and Harvey, our hired helper, was the extent of the work force. Saturday was Harvey’s day off but it wouldn’t take long before Hammond his little brother (and my buddy), would come in to see what I was doing. Mom usually let me have some time to go exploring, so when she wasn’t looking I’d sneak a couple Rum Crook cigars from behind the counter and grab a few candy bars – and I was out of there.
We’re all sentimental. It’s simply human nature to care about what you have and what has been given to you. People cherish all different types of items be it old, new, expensive, or found on the side of the street. Everyone has that one special item, and for me that item is my hats. I’ll admit that it sounds a bit odd.
How life goes on we experience a lot of things that can either teach us an important lesson or nothing at all. I have learned more than one lesson in my life, but there’s one that I will always keep in mind to help others like it helped me. Thanks to John Tyler High School Drill Team I have self-confidence and courage to do risky things that I never thought I would be doing. Now I believe in myself and I don’t let fear dull my success, I fight for what I want until I get it even if it take a long time, I don’t give up that easy anymore.

During class Rachel's Teacher, Mrs.Price holds up an old raggedy red disgusting sweater and asks the class who's it belongs to. Sylivia Saldivar accuses Rachel of being the owner of the sweater. Rachel is to shy to speak for herself. Instead, she says, “Of course it yours. I remember you wearing it once.”
“Would you like to take a picture with Wendy?” my mother said smiling. “Yes please!” I almost screamed. I went to stand proudly by my hero.

What I really learn from this incident is that no matter what kind of trials or obstacles I’ll face in the future, I have to always be thankful for what I have and be more positive when I’m facing
Throughout the course of history, there are many incidents where things have gone horribly wrong. These occurrences and decisions could have been made very consciously, or just a pure accident. In the occasions that the events are done consciously, those who are in the wrong can take responsibility from their mistake as this is the only way to start learning from them. When thinking of examples of people who have made mistakes and them owning up to that mistake and learning from it, many came to my mind. However, there is one story in particular that affected many families, and has been a learning curve for many individuals, all caused by one man.
Crack! It’s going, It’s going, gone a homerun! These are the sounds that fans look forward to hearing at any Major League Baseball game they attend, but I’ve always wondered who came up with the idea for the sport. The “invention” of baseball is huge for everyone that loves to play and watch this sport. The first baseball game was a hit, even though no one really knew what it was.
Every year, we seem to hear more and more about softball players getting hit in the face or head with a ball. “Of all softball injuries last school year, 17.2% were head and face injuries.” ("Concussions, Broken Noses – In Softball? Here Comes The Face Mask.") Two years ago, ¼ of the injuries in softball had occurred with a player getting hit in the face. By wearing a face mask, players can easily prevent the numerous injuries that can happen, which will assure players that they will not have any severe injuries to the facial area, even if some don’t like how the face mask looks or feels, name brand companies can make a face mask that can suit any type of players needs.
And without this lesson, I would not have become the young man I am
