The enforcement of stricter gun control laws would be extremely beneficial for the safety of the people in the United States. Stricter gun control laws would ensure guns do not fall in the hands of people who would misuse them. For example, individuals who are 21-years-old and below should not have the right to own or be around guns. For if they cannot legally drink alcohol, how can the authorities trust them with a weapon that can easily take a life within seconds. Furthermore, stricter gun control laws could make sure that people go through a proper psyche evaluation before they can obtain the right to own a gun.
Lastly, guns are not the problem and should not be restricted but the people using them should be restricted from using them. Most mass school shooting the history behind most of the victims is that they usually have some kind of disability or have had a rough life or even depression. That 's why if the government has stricter gun laws there is no point since it 's the people and not the weapon. Therefore since guns are used to protect people, used for hunting, and the guns are not the problem it is the people, guns should not be banned or have stricter gun
Gun Control On December 15th, 1791 our Second Amendment right was adopted. As stated in our Bill of Rights, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." The right to bear arms is a right that every American deserves to have to protect themselves and to serve their families. However there are many that believe that because of mindless acts of violence that guns are to blame. The ill minded should not be the cause of the abiding citizens of America to lose their rights.
You state that “If you aren’t free to protect yourself - when government puts its thumb on that freedom - then you aren’t free at all.” Yet, freedom is not measured by how many guns one person can buy. Freedom is not the right to purchase weapons of destruction. Freedom does not result in everyday shootings because teenagers - psychopaths - murderers - are able to
Firearms is one of America’s most controversial topics, one side argues that guns should be outlawed and only permitted to those in association with the government, while the other side replies that guns should be buyable to law abiding citizens and should not be outlawed. I myself fall on the side that claims why guns should not be outlawed, and why we should be able to possess firearms if we do our duties as a citizen. In the constitution under amendment II, it states that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed, what this means is that no one should be able to take away our rights to keep and use firearms. But there are still people who think that guns are too dangerous and lead to an excessive amount of casualties, and instead would like to keep guns off the streets.. To that I respond with the phrase that guns don 't kill people, people kill people, what I mean here is that someone has to give the command to the gun for the bullet to come out. If our society wasn’t so corrupt then guns wouldn 't be debated on so much, because we wouldn 't have to worry about a criminal or mentally unstable person shooting an innocent human being.. And some people actually need guns, because they choose to live remotely and still hunt for food, even though this is extremely rare it still transpires.
There just might be an opportunity to solve the problem of mass murders caused by disturbed individuals with guns. If we can get the politicians to stop talking long enough to listen. They may realize they are both wrong on the issue of gun control. Note how carefully I chose my words there. Guns do not kill people.
“You can have all the gun control laws in the country, but if you do not enforce them, people are going to find a way to protect themselves. We need to recognize that bad people are doing bad things with these weapons. It 's not the law-abiding citizens. It 's not the person who uses it as a hobby” (Steele). Gun control laws are made to keep people safe, but that does not necessarily mean that they are one-hundred percent effective.
This is a persuasive essay on the subject of gun control and whether citizens should be able to carry guns in public. It is discussed that guns should be permitted because previous incidents where people did not have protection against other members of society led to numerous fatalities. Guns would benefit society on the basis of self defense. It is also discussed of the ways to help regulate gun control such as background checks and other actions that could be taken. The cost of gun violence is soaring and a way to monitor that is to adapt better gun laws for citizens Law enforcement is there to protect us but sometimes things need to be handled instantly and having to wait on them can present a bigger problem.
Guns are a cost-benefit ratio along with everything else in this world. Guns don’t fire by themselves, so why do we need to outlaw guns when the gun doesn’t pull its own trigger? Instead, we need to work with the people using them. Gun laws are to keep people that aren’t supposed to have guns from getting guns and they are also in place to protect the people who have guns and give them the right to bear arms. Studies show that gun ownership has increased incredibly while at the same time crime has decreased to historic lows The second amendment says people have the right to bear arms and they can’t be taken away.
Deep background checks are the first crucial step in firearm reformation. Without intense background checks, the Brady II Law would be completely neglected. The purpose of the Brady Law was passed to strictly forbid irresponsible beings from obtaining a firearm. (Jacobs 138). This objective was crucial to prevent irresponsible people from buying a firearm.
