Percy Jackson’s experiences do align with the hero’s journey. First, his experiences align with the hero’s journey because he’s, so far, following all the steps in the hero’s journey. He follows all the steps because first he starts off in an ordinary world, which is the first step, then things start to turn supernatural and adventure is basically calling him. So, he goes to do what he needs to do even if he’s very confused, just like in the hero’s journey. Next, Percy, first lives in an ordinary world but then goes into a different world/place that he’s never been to before.
Percy Jackson and the lightning thief is about the offspring of poseidon and a mortal, going on a quest with his friends to find Zeus’ missing lightning bolt. The bolt went missing and Percy Jackson is accused of taking it. This is an excellent book that was made into a film. Though the film was good it was very different from the book.
Percy is very strong emotionally and he always makes sure that his friends and family are safe. When Grover was captured and sent to Polyphemus, Percy knew that he had to go and save him as well as retrieve the golden fleece so he could save everyone at camp. Percy cares about his friends and he will be willing to do the right thing and save them even if it means he gets in trouble. Percy Jackson wasn't
In Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson Sea Of Monsters, a thirteen year old demigod named Percy Jackson, goes on a quest with his best friend Annabeth and his recently discovered half brother to retrieve the Golden Fleece to save Thialia’s poisoned pine tree that protects the campers at Camp Half Blood, and to save Percy’s best friend Grover. So what does it truly mean to be successful at something? Does it mean to be known for what that person did or does it represent the feeling someone feels after completing a task. To one, it could mean the satisfaction of accomplishing something after a long time of concentration and hard work.
This doesn’t exactly show Percy is not a hero, however I still disliked this about his character overall. He didn’t trust Grover and Annabeth despite them knowing each other (And in Grovers case, they were BEST FRIENDS), yet trusted Luke, someone he pretty much knew for a day or two who called him a friend in that short span of time before Percy’s quest. The hints were obvious about Luke, (I mean, he said his sword was literally called a backstabber..) as he was extremely distant to Percy when he returned and was suddenly friendly again when they were alone. If anything, Percy’s distrust of his closest friends instead of the more distant Luke is a flaw. While they began to get close and trust each other at the end, I find it ridiculous that he instantly thought of Annabeth and Grover at the words “You will be betrayed by someone who calls you a friend.”
The relationship between Percy the main protagonist, and his half-brother Tyson is one of the most important in the book. Tyson is also the son of Poseidon, although, unlike Percy, he is not half human. Percy doesn’t know that they are related at first and when he finds out he denies being anything like his Cyclops half-brother. This shows that just because two people come from the same place they won’t always be similar, they might even find each other gross and repulsive. Working together Percy and Tyson settle their differences and focus on the side, they share rather than the side
Percy Jackson had a tough life. Poseidon (His dad) left him when he was young, and he was alone with his mom. He was offered a quest from the leader of Camp Half Blood named Chiron. There was a prophecy that said he would go west to face the god who has turned, he would find what was stolen, and see it safely returned, he would be betrayed by the one who calls him a friend, and finally he would fail to save what matters to him the most in the end. Percy Jackson achieved all of these parts of the prophecy but they were not always good for him.
Have you ever wondered how it would feel to be the son/daughter of a Greek god? Well that’s exactly what happened to Percy Jackson, an average 12 year old boy with ADHD. Percy Jackson and his mom Sallie Jackson had quite a hard life where they lived in Manhattan, New York City, New York. Percy had been moving from school to school due to expulsion and his severe dyslexia which of course kept him from reading properly. During a school trip to a Greek museum, Percy finds himself being taken away by a teacher named Mrs. Dodds to be punished but he gets a not so pleasant surprise but another teacher comes and gives him a pen which can turn into a sword.
How does an individual’s journey determine their role in society? That’s a great question, I didn’t expect that question. That’s a question we should all ask Percy Jackson. How did his journey determine his role in society? It all started once he realised/ told he was the son of poseidon.
The book, Percy Jackson: The Battle Of The Labyrinth, by Rick Riordan is an amazing book about a group of demigods (half human half god) that have to save their camp from being destroyed by the evil forces of Kronos. Kronos is a titan that the gods banished to the deepest part of the underworld (Tartarus) after a war against them. Now that the titans are rising once again, the protagonists must travel through an ancient Labyrinth to stop them from demolishing their camp and temporarily halt them from achieving their goal of destroying Mount Olympus and the gods. This literary analysis will show the interesting relationships between some of the characters, and how the setting that they were in affected them throughout their journey.
Percy is a little ashamed that he has gone from the only son of Poseidon and a hero of camp half-blood to the brother of a monster, but in spite that he does care for Tyson. Tyson has to deal with a lot of disdain and inequality such as bullying him ignored him , from the students at the school he attends with Percy, from the other monsters, from the half-bloods at camp. But he is unlike any other monster, he has a really pure heart. He didn’t feel ashemed of his brother eventhough his face is cylopes. He loves Percy, loves his father and believes when he prayed to Poseidon for a friend he was led to Percy.
An epic hero is a brave and noble character in an epic poem or a movie. Some epic heroes include: Percy Jackson (Percy Jackson movie series), Odysseus (Homer’s epic poem The Odyssey), Shrek, Harry Potter (Harry Potter movie series), Aragorn (Lord Of The Rings), and many more. Some similar traits between these two characters is that they are both brave and believe in the people helping them through their conquests.
a good leader can make decisions. if you are able to make decisions how are you going to leave our people? with making decisions comes communication. Percy Jackson was a great leader, he was able to make certain decisions and communicate with others to leave them, and tell them which path he chose to follow. Percy jackson is a fictional character in a book series.
Can you imagine being under the pressure to be a hero, or trust someone who failed you, or even pressuring yourself about being powerless? In the Percy Jackson series, the characters Percy, Nico di Angelo, and Hazel experience pressures that sometimes crumble their emotions and make them lose trust in themselves. These pressures change the book because they can make characters lose trust in themselves and lose battles. In conclusion, character views shape the series because of how they can change characters on the inside and outside.
The Percy Jackson Heroes of Olympus is a very exciting series. It has Action, Romance, and is told through a Greek/Roman mythological stand point. Every book is a cliff hanger with an elaborate plot that ties the series together. It is told through multiple perspectives so when the characters are separated you can still know what each groups are doing. It is mainly focused around trying to save the Greek/Roman gods from Gaea the earth goddess.
