Jessica Gonzales in fear for her and her children’s safety, having obtained a state protective order was not advised that the enforcement of protection was discretionary. The potential for no enforcement, had she known, would have given her the opportunity to make alternate arrangements, potentially removing or lessening her husband’s contact with the family. Case Citation: Linda Williamson v. The City of Houston, 148 F. 3d 462 (5th Cir. 1998). Facts: Houston Police Officer Linda Williamson was working in the Organized Crime Squad and was sometimes assigned to partner with fellow Officer Doug McLeod. Williamson alleged that over an eighteen month period, McLeod harassed her every day creating a hostile work environment. More specifically, Williamson stated that McLeod conducted obvious and demeaning inspections of her appearance. He made comments to her on how her body looked in different clothes and remarked specifically on the appearance of her buttocks and the size of her breasts.
In the article “Cole Case,” the author, Jena Williams writes about Timothy Cole, a falsely accused man charged with 25 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. Known as the Texas Tech Rapes, four women were raped from 1984 to 1985. As police searched for the rapist, Cole ran into an undercover cop on campus and told her his name and where he lived. Although not suspected to be the rapist, police ran his license plates and discovered Cole recently filed it as being robbed. Claiming to help him by investigating the robbery, police took Cole’s photo and placed it in a lineup of other mug shots.

Even though eyewitness testimony has been proven inaccurate numerous times, it can still be the decisive evidence in a court of law. This is because the law views the human memory as a camcorder which can record and repeat whatever it sees.
But, my concern is that my daughter (Jaclyn Renee Romeo) was given a two year order of protection by Judge Jessica Colon-Sayre for a Facebook post on a private page WITH no names in/on the post. When my daughter (Jaclyn) was in court with the adopted mother several months ago, and the previous Judge stated that the page could stay up as long as it was in a private status. I know you cannot make a comment regarding another Judge ruling, however I am asking for someone to, look into the matter on a more check and balance bases.
