Don’t drink the kool-aid. A common quote for don't follow blindly has a little darker meaning than most know. It comes from a tragic event where more than 900 people died a third of them being children. On November 18th 1978, in Jonestown Guyana there was a mass suicide of more than 900 cult members. This event was orchestrated by Jim Jones who through the trust he was given he led them astray. The mystery behind the Jonestown massacre can be summed up in two theories a CIA mind control experiment or good people being influenced by a bad man. When Jones originally created the church his friend Daniel Martin helped him make it, he later became an agent in the the CIA (“Conspiracies”) Although, conspiracy theorists don't agree on what government played a role in it the Russians and the a part of the Russian government or the CIA (Newton). This is actually a plausible theory some say since because just five years prior to the disaster the CIA allegedly discontinued its MKULTRA mind control program.
