The tactic used to get the adults attention to help them quit smoking is a very unique tactic. This is the first time I have seen a commercial about smoking like this one. The music they use in the background goes very well with the mood. The mood helps the commercial be more effective. Smoking can be very harmful to your body.
When people vote to elect leaders they often rely on the mass media to persuade them, which sometimes the politicians and media take advantage of this fact. Media can reach out to people by radio, advertising, mailing, pamphlets, television most often these days’ social media. A large amount of money is spent by politicians on media when they are campaigning, just to persuade voters who are unsure. Some politicians use television commercials and sometimes newspaper advertisements to point out the negatives in the opposition party while presenting themselves better. Another way media can influence politics is by deciding what news should be delivered to the people therefore, they chose stories that are most sensational and interesting for the people to hear and ones that can lift their ratings.
Many of the faces on television, Conan, Jimmy Kimmel, and Ellen have to read from scripts given to them from their supervisors who write the scripts with a political motive. The media outlets will also promote ideas to increase the revenue they can acquire from sponsors, shareholders, and advertisers. This reduces the amount of people that express their true opinions on matters and can cast an overwhelming shadow on minority opinions. The political figures tied to the media influence it with their political power and money. Studies have shown that there has been an increase in the amount of bribery lawsuits attached to political motives than ever

Smoking has been one of the largest and most serious problems in the world. Countries try to combat this problem by showing anti-smoking advertisements to try to get people to quit smoking. The topic of the effectiveness of these advertisements has been debated by almost everyone that has a brain and can think clearly about it. Many people have completely different views on this topic because there are many reasons to support both sides of the argument. Anti-smoking advertisements are effective and play a huge role in how people view smoking because these advertisements catch the eyes of not only smokers but also others around them, giving someone a visual of what could happen if he or she were to smoke or continue to smoke and appealing to a person’s emotions .
It proved to show how the mass media is able to create a consistent and direct effect by sending the message in forms of a needle injecting the message directly to the audiences’ brains. This method was used to explain how fast the message is able to travel to each and every individual. The media projects the message with immediacy and this theory assumes that every member of the audience are isolated. This is linked to the immediate acceptance of the message due to the fact that the theory overlooked on how the message was perceived. The messages were fired directly into the brains of the public, without the public’s realization.
This is a term which is used to describe the changes in the media and political system in past fifty years and also looks at how society and culture has changed in relation to this. Politics in itself has become a much more mediated sector, politicians are now obsessed with their media image and try and influence the media as much as possible as the media in turn influence society (Strömbäck 2008). The media have become the most important source of information and it shapes public opinion as individuals become passive followers thinking about what the media tell them to. The media don’t have the power to the the public what to think but they are able to tell them what to think about and this can be a dangerous form of power as individuals themselves do not realize they are being influenced. Strombach (2008) looks at four different phases of mediatization.
This shows that the effects of smoking have a negative impact on the human body and organs. Therefore, smoking cigarettes is a bad habit in society today and should consider help if needed to stop smoking to improve their health and try to reduce the risks of illness caused by smoking
There’s some advertising campaign that created to attack the opponents candidate in order to win the election. Not all campaigns that attack the opponents are prohibited in democracy. As we know, media has the most important role in advertising, and it also works the same for political campaign advertising. The media hold a very essential role in the world of democracy and its proper function. Media has the strongest power to influence public’s opinion and it affects their behavior as well.
