A lot of people say that there is no true meaning to life. After all, life goes by so fast and death comes so suddenly. The poem The Black Snake says that death is a sudden, terrible weight, and it’s coming is certain. But everyone has a purpose on this earth, even if it just the small things like bringing joy to people around them or the things that they do everyday. Whether it be your work, family, friends, or even your religion, everyone has things that brings meaning into their lives. Some examples of what brings meaning to my life includes people who I am close to, traveling, having goals in mind, and doing what I can to make a difference on the world around me.
A few of the things that bring me joy are my friends, family, and pets. My friends care about me and we make each other’s lives better just by being around one another. My dad brings me joy because whenever we are together, no matter what we are doing, we have a good time. I know that his life wouldn’t be the same without me in it. My dog, Twincy, also makes me happy and as he is getting

By having goals, it gives me something to look forward to in my life. A few goals and experiences I look forward to are traveling, living on my own and having my own apartment, getting my first job, and overall just being happy and satisfied with how my life has turned out. I am also looking forward to having a sense of independence and experiencing the world on my own for a while. When I get older I would like to travel around the world, and specifically I would look to see Europe. The most important to me off all these goals is to be happy. Being happy doesn’t necessarily mean going to a lot of places and having a lot of money, it is simply just surrounding yourself with people you love. All of these goals that I have in the back of my mind allow me to keep pushing forward and I hope to make them a reality
Each person has been taught to hope, to have a dream. I always shot for the stars; I wanted to be a princess, obviously that didn’t work out though. As every individual ages his or her aspirations become more realistic; I aspire to have a stable job and a loving family. Having dreams is an important part of everyone’s lives.
Life has its twists and turns, but my overall life goal is simple, help others. I want to make an impact on others life, even if it is a small change. For instance, being able to hold a pencil is the difference between a student being able to graduate from Kindergarten and not be able to continue on to first grade. Being a Pediatric occupational therapist will help me make an impact on children at a very young age. Even small changes can have a large impacts, which is why I want to be that change for others.
Life is a very precious thing to have. Every person begins his or her life new, innocent, and curious. As people grow up, they gain a lot of experiences and knowledge, which may or may not be useful to them when they reach early adulthood and start living in the “real world.” Whether it be good or bad, these experiences help tell the story, more specifically the life, of an individual. At one point in every person’s life, there comes a time for reminiscence of these experiences, but why do we have these experiences in the first place?
And my happiness needs no higher aim to vindicate it. My happiness is not the means to any end. It is the end. It is its own goal. It is its own purpose” (Rand 111).
In my experience nothing, nothing at all feels better than the feelings after you have just volunteered your time or donated something to help someone. The feeling of making someone’s day and observing the bright smile on their face definitely makes me happy. Also with my experience, doing things I want to do is what makes me happy. I find happiness in running, getting away from the world for an hour, being able to clear my mind and just focus on the nature around me makes me happy. There are activities for everyone out there, no matter who you are to make you happy; you just have to get out and find them.
While it sounds like a simple goal, many people fail to make themselves happy. My definition of happiness is fairly simple, I want to contribute to something I am passionate about and have a family I love. I want to have the same passion for my career that Mandela had “to replace Apartheid with…non-racial democracy” which was so great that he dedicated his entire life to (Carlin 15). Mandela was so passionate that he endured “the solitude and toughness and quiet routine of prison; [and] the grinding exercise regimen to which he submitted himself behind bars” all “to kill apartheid” (Carlin 17). It is Mandela’s persistence and willingness to suffer because of his passion that I truly admire.
Have you ever wondered why life was created and what your purpose is? Well, you probably have, you just don’t remember it. We ask ourselves a variety of questions every day. It might be a simple or hard question you are facing throughout the day, but the answer is the main thing you need to remember. The meaning of life is more than just a simple question like the others we ask ourselves.
Setting smaller goals is nice because they are like stepping stones to my bigger goals. The reason I am so motivated to go to college is because I have the opportunity to be the first in my family to attend college. Seeing my parents struggle with money because they can’t get a decent paying job is one of the reasons I desire to go to college. I know by going to college, and doing what I love, I will be able to enjoy what I’m doing while being able to have a improved life than I had experienced.

If your happy and you do what you’re supposed to do, then being happy will play a big part of how will you become successful. You can be happy to someone to brighten their day or just give somebody a compliment on how they look because it would make their day and that is success for a lot of people even including me. Being kind and happy to other people makes them happy and success plays in that part. Success doesn’t always mean a goal or something to achieve, happiness will open more doors for you in the future and now everyone loves happiness. If they don’t then they need to go to a mental therapist because happiness is the first way to become successful.
What is the value of life? To me the value of life is cherishing every moment that comes to me. To make sure with every experience to take it to heart and learn some kind of lesson out of it. life is like a mountain, at certain points throughout the climb it is going to be really tough mentally and emotionally. Other times it’s going to be so easy fun and smoothe until… one hits that bump in the road again.
If you know the tools for happiness, then you’ll make it work like magic Happiness might be in the smallest of the things but sometimes the material things won’t give you permanent feeling of joy, you might be happy with those things for a shorter time but it won’t be long lasting. Just as learning new skills requires effort, you will have to strive and work hard to achieve real, long lasting happiness. 2. If you are satisfied with everything you’ve, you might lose the motivation to achieve more and be more happy Happiness is something that boosts up your energy.
However, when we give meaning to our life I believe we have to understand that whatever we choose to based our life on, should also be something that will make us happy even when it 's no longer there. For example, if you based your life 's meaning on being the best mother to your kids and providing them with happiness and security. One must also understand that they might not always be around. So, what 's your meaning of life now?
