Inside the 申 Monkey day, there was 庚 Geng metal. There was also some more庚 Geng metal in the 巳 Snake month. His metal had roots in both the 申 Monkey day and the 巳 Snake month. There was also earth in the 未Goat year to produce his metal. The metal may not have been born in season but due to the structure of the chart, the metal could be considered as fairly strong. There was a clash between the申 Monkey and the寅 Tiger. This clash could be interpreted to mean that one of the roots for his 庚 Geng metal day master had been taken away. But the申 Monkey was in the day pillar. His 庚 Geng metal day master was seated on the申 Monkey Earthly Branch. If the申 Monkey had been removed by the clash, then what Earthly Branch was there left for the day master? It was not logical for the庚 Geng metal day master to have no Earthly Branch under it.
