“The villain is the person who knows the most but cares the least,” This quote comes from Chuck Klosterman. A villain means that you don’t care about other people and they are just selfish and mean. Alexander the Great is a villain because he killed a lot of people and destroyed many towns and cities. Alexander the Great is a villain because killed a lot of people. People who kill other people for really no reason are villains.
The attributes a hero must have in order to be considered hero include being patient and complaisant, even with the most frustrating people, willing to help anyone, friend or foe, and being humble even though they are constantly praised and awarded for the heroic things they do. The late George Griffith, father and grandfather, best exemplified these qualities and is considered a hero to many. George Griffith is a hero because he was patient and complaisant, even the most frustrating and annoying people. George had four children and ten grandchildren and all throughout his life he has never yelled or has never been angry at them. John Griffith,
In this situation, Dantes still shows love in one or another way even if they caused an unpleasant time for his loved one. This shows that he was a very respectful and a courteous man that had a pure soul. When someone does something bad to your family and you just let him walk into your house right after that and show no hate towards them. Others don’t feel this way but Dantes would. Dantes was also a sailor that
This is because the criminal got away with a sentence barely equating to what he did in the first place, which I find disgustingly unjust and unacceptable. Although the prospect of people getting abused and mistreated seems wrong and unfair, the crimes they committed justify their treatment. If you break the rules, you must suffer the consequences. However, there is a fine line between giving them what they deserve and treating them so badly they are dehumanised and I believe guards in Shawshank took it too far. An example of this is when young prisoner Tommy is shot dead as a precaution.
'Bob Ewell meant business,' Mr. Tate muttered." (page 269). This shows that Bob Ewell deserved to die because he was trying to kill Atticus' kids just because he made Bob look bad in court. He's a coward cause he didn’t go after Atticus like he said he would, he went after his
A hero is one that is on a quest, which in this case is to find help and shelter for his fellow crewmembers. Holding the title captain, he is automatically looked to as the leader and decision maker on what is to be done. However, being the captain is not what makes him the hero but the way his thought and decisions automatically goes to his crewmembers first rather than himself. “The hurt captain spoke always in a low voice and calmly; but could never command a more ready and swiftly obedient crew than the motely three of the dinghy” (Crane 129). Even when injured, the captain still led his crew not allowing anything to inhibit his quest, whether it was the indecision of his crewmembers, or the constant misfortunes from Mother Nature.
He just doesn't understand that his pride is his flaw like that will be the reason that will end his life. Like due to his pride he did actions that made him look like a straight up fool he killed his best friend and he planned his death out makes it even
Character Analysis The most interesting and complex out of the characters in “Treasure Island” is Long John Silver. Silver could play the role of the humble sea cook or the fearless rebel captain of the Hispaniola. Although Silver switched from the good side to the bad side throughout the plot, his personality never changed permanently. Even as the leader of the pirate rebels, Silver could still be reasoned with. He peacefully came to Captain Smollett’s dwelling bearing the white flag of truce and even “saluted him in the handsomest style” (Stevenson, 134).
Alexander treated Darius” (para 8). This proves Alexander the great is a hero because he was a religious, helpful, and generous leader. Everybody makes mistakes and Alexander is just a person who made only a couple bad decisions. Having Alexander as a leader would be great especially during wars, because when he made commands you would be able to trust him and agree with what he was deciding to
The Misfit is an escaped convict who travels with two cohorts that help him murder innocent people. Obviously an evil man, Arthur F. Bethea describes The Misfit as the anti-christ, stating: “Indeed, like Satan, The Misfit is an anti-Christ… The most significant contrast is that Jesus sacrificed himself so that his true followers could enjoy everlasting life, while O’Connor’s villain is relentlessly associated with death” (247). The Misfit is angry at jesus, he states: "Jesus was the only one that ever raised the dead," The Misfit continued, "and He shouldn't have done it. If He did what He said, then there's nothing for you to do but throw away everything and follow him, and if He didn't, then it's nothing for you to do but enjoy the few minutes you got left…" The Misfit does not believe in Jesus so he believes that life is pointless. This could be a reason he kills so mercilessly and does not feel remorse for his victims.
From an American perspective, Osama bin Laden is a radical Islamist monster responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent civilians. This may be true, but from a jihad perspective, Osama bin Laden can be seen as a hero who was martyred while fighting for his faith. People fear things they do not understand, ignorance and bliss and everyone would like to believe that their personal path and beliefs are inherently “good” or “right”. Islam, communism, they are just ideas, and as “un-American” as they may be this does not constitute evil. Killing innocent people is evil, and the US is just as guilty as anyone for this, the only difference is how people feel they can justify the actions.
Paul was definitely the most noble character in All Quiet On the Western Front. He is the most noble for being loyal to all his companions, for being sensitive to others and for being selfless in difficult times. As it was shown, Paul has been nothing but loyal to all his friend and companions. Paul has shown that he is a very sensitive man, even though he might have had a hard time expressing his feelings. Paul always made sure to put people 's problem before his.
