"Felice is the most loquacious person in the world" Cesare thought to himself "He keeps talking and never stops, he speaks about things he doesn't know and will never understand. He keeps discussing about our books without even reading them. I guess the fact he always tells us what to do or what to avoid bothers me a little bit. Natalia listens to every word he says about her pieces, like a caring mom who tries to please every little whim his child has, she pays attention to whatever Balbo says to make the best out of her book and takes every single suggestion to improve it. I don't really know how she keeps listening. I find it such a waste of time. I'm already aware of what he's going to say, I wrote what I felt and I can not change the way I feel just because in his …show more content…
Actually, now that I think about it, I'm amused from how he talks to us, I am always teasing him, the quantity of silly things he says while he comments our pieces is quite hilarious. It seems like the only thing he worries about are his drafts and finding someone who can correct them. I would love to learn how to do that, not being constantly panicking over what's going to happen, not having to fear the future. I wish my life was a tale, where everything is predictable, with an happy ending, just like most other normal person's life. A tale, but not an unrealistic one, where everything is joyful, because life is never going to be like that. My life was never meant to be a tale, since my early childhood or was it? It would be tragic, so fearful it's ineffable, full of darkness and unforeseen, but at the same time cleverness and calculation. Nobody would read such a miserable story. My life is a constant illusion of enjoyment. I always get just a little taste of joy, so that I always want more but I can never get

Personal Statement A human being has one life and one life only. The older I get the more I realize how precious my time is. Felice is an independent woman who lives a happy life. “Felice is free, she speaks herself into being, defying the social control that extends even to the geography” (Thomson). Felice does not have a husband, drives her own pickup, and provides immense help for Cleofilas. Cleofilas is fascinated by Felice and finds inspiration through her. The author claims “Everything about this woman, this Felice, amazed Cleofilas….she said she didn’t have a husband.
“She had done nothing but reach up to the heat on her mouth and stare at the blood on her hand as if even then she didn’t understand (Cisneros).” Juan Pedro keeps this behavior up. A woman who goes by Felice changes Cleofilas idea on how a woman should be treated and their purpose to society. Felice helps Cleofilas escape her husband and takes her across the border back to Mexico.

The authors want their audiences to use these tales and examples as life lessons and hope for them to utilize these sources in their future lives. These two ideas are presented through the use of figurative language, mainly metaphors. In addition, the similar tone of these pieces allows the author to connect more deeply with the readers. Toni Morrison’s Nobel lecture, folktales, and several poems illustrate how metaphors and tone are used to describe experience and caution the readers.
Life itself can be a sad story. That is one of the patterns of reality Murakami uses to balance out his fantasies. The narrative’s closing sentence rings with
It felt like I was in an endless roller coaster going up and down. Some believe that life is filled with obstacles and experiences that will help us pave the path to our own successes. But is that really accurate? There are some points in life when I’ve felt that I would never conquer a problem.
