Out of the two world wars, World War II is known to be the bloodiest and brutal war. The main reason this is to believed is because to the Holocaust. The Holocaust was the time period where many were persecuted for their beliefs and race. Hitler is who is to blame for the Holocaust, he is the one who organized all the horrific things done to the people who did not fall under his Master Race. Despite the many theories about the purpose of the Holocaust, the real purpose make those who weren’t members of the Master Race fear the Nazi Regime, to force them to obey the Nazi’s without question.
Among the other countries, Germany was certainly not the only one to use propaganda against the unwanted. Hitler’s hatred for the Jews influenced other countries to see propaganda. Hitler blamed the Jewish people for their loss of World War I, also for prolonging the war to gain wealth, and using the constitutional democracy to weaken the politics of the nation; and through the use of propaganda , he used the Jews as a scapegoat or as a group of people for germany's defeat in World War one. Hitler using propaganda convinced thousands of people that is was ok to kill countless Jews and many others. In the book the rize of the Nazis, it is stated “Goldhagen suggests that the nazi were expert propagandist, using their talents to convince ordinary germans that jews were the enemies of national socialism”the nazis were among the most sophisticated and innovative users of propaganda in history¨ The definition of propaganda is “ ideas, facts, or allegations spread deliberately to further one’s cause or to damage an opposing cause¨ according to the website www.merriam-webster.com Propaganda use can be exploited through art,
TASK 1- WWII ESSAY How did Nazis control the people through the use of concentration camps, rallies and glorification of Hitler? How was each of these means used to control German society and secure Hitler’s position and power? During the period of World War 2. Hitler and the Germans wanted to exterminate all Jews. They hated anyone who was of Jewish decent.
Adolf Hitler, “implemented these laws to ostracize, discriminate and expel Jews from German society” (3) Diverse culture was rejected. Physically, the people of Germany, mostly jews, were affected because of Hitler trying to make the population one master race. He believed aryans were this “master race” as he believed the grew to have good health strength and overall, good characteristics unlike Jews
It was planned at the Wannsee Conference, at meeting between the SS and the German government. Although the extermination of Jews was already going on in order to secure government support the Wannsee Conference went on. The plan of the final solution was to annihilate the Jew and anyone who opposed the Nazi rule including Gypsies and homosexuals. This was done by moving Jews from ghettos and transferring them to concentration camps. The significance of the final solution would be the responsibility it takes in the millions
By blaming the Jews for Germany’s economic crisis and their defeat in World War I, Hitler was able to target the Jews as the country’s main enemy. According to him, the Jews were liable for many of Germany’s issues. As Hitler’s following grew, so did his power over Germany. During his time in power, over six million Jews were killed in execution camps. Many people helped Hitler to
The Holocaust is still a heavily reviewed subject and is debatably one of the worst if not the worst atrocity that has happened on this Planet up to date. To think that the Nazi’s were able to kill millions of people it has made us question what kind of people they were and if they were anything similar to us. It is hard to think of a perpetrator to be a normal human being. The Holocaust has made us question if the Nazi’s had any sense of moral sensibility when killing innocent and defenseless Jewish men and women. In the book Ordinary Men, Author Christopher Browning argues that these Nazi’s especially referring to the Reserve Police Battalion 101 were normal people who had instructions given by Hitler and their government to follow through with by devaluing all Jewish life.
The book should be permanently banned for the respect of the victims of the Holocaust. Although the book may interest many people the book should be banned out of respect for the victims who had to suffer through all the pain and suffering involved with the Holocaust. The victims had to suffer through the starvation and demoralizing and the brutality of the Nazi forces. The Nazis killed over 6 million Jews between 1941 and 1945. Religious hatred is the cause of the Holocaust, and the book being
Hitler implemented harsh policies that led to World War II and the mass murders of Jews. Jews and other groups that were considered a “threat to the German race” to the Nazi party were forced to hide from the worlds eyes. According to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, “in recent years, there has been an increase in antisemitism in the form of hate speech, violence, and denial and distortion of the Holocaust”. These types of
The world would be an evil place ruled by fascism and militarism. These countries did some of the worst things imaginable, they exterminated people because of their religion/race, raised the white flag but actually ambushed enemies, they tortured people, ate prisoners, and forced women into sexual slavery. This generation and their president had to drop the atomic bomb, but ending the war with the people who committed these atrocities is no brainer. The men and women of the greatest generation were expected to go to war or help on the home front wherever they could. They rationed and consumed less to help with the war effort.
