Dreading the hours ahead, Viki trudged home with an overburdened backpack. After school routine had lapsed from relaxed to stressful and tiring; homework, quick dinner and clean up, homework again, and hopefully enough sleep to last her the next day. Several hours later she glanced at her clock and groaned. It was well after midnight and she still had a few assignments left to finish. This left Viki with two choices: complete them and suffer the consequences of lack of sleep, or get the much needed rest but put her grade in jeopardy? This question haunts many students and is one of the reasons why homework negatively affects youths.
