It’s appalling to see that many children today have been negatively affected by playing video games. These children may spend a long time playing till they hear their mom or dad say something like: “Enough! It’s time for you to find something better to do!” The child might find this useless and might not understand the main purpose, but they don’t realize that it’s good advice even though he or she was just about to crash through the next level. Too much of anything is just too much. Parents should never permit their kids to play video games because video games cause more aggression, real-life violent behavior, and will likely result to children having difficulty distinguishing reality from fantasy. The first reason why parents shouldn’t let their kids play video games is that playing video games causes more aggression. Researchers proved that there was a change in behaviors of 60% of middle school boys and 40% of middle school girls who played at least one Mature-rated or M-rated game. These middle school students hit or beat up someone unlike 29% of boys and 14% of girls who did not play M-rated games. These behaviors also involved in bullying and fighting. A site called The Leading Source for Pros and Cons of Controversial Issues supported this fact. It stated that “A 2014 peer-reviewed study in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that habitual video game playing had a causal link with increased, long-term, aggressive behavior.” A numerous amount of
