Introduction
The Peninsula Hong Kong is a flagship hotel company and it is part of the Peninsula Hotel group. It is located in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong, it opened in 1928 and expanded in 1994. It is the oldest hotel in Hong Kong and also the most modern hotel in the world. Based on the assessment of its precious historical and architectural value, the Peninsula Hotel is listed as a historical building. The Peninsula Hong Kong is located opposite of the Victoria Harbor, there are 300 rooms in the hotel and normally the rooms from Peninsula are slightly larger than other hotels’s rooms. The facilities from the Peninsula Hong Kong include a Roman palace- style swimming pool, health club and an underground shopping mall that includes many luxury brands such as Tiffany & Co. In 1970, the Peninsula Hotel purchased Rolls-Royce luxury cars as fleet, and nowadays those 14 Rolls-Royce Phantom sedan is the world’s largest fleet of Rolls-Royce and it hits the most expensive Rolls-Royce order record. The Peninsula Hotel was owned and operated by the Kadoorie family of British Jewish (British Jews?). It was also held by the Hong Kong-listed companies in Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited. The Peninsula Hong Kong has been chosen as the world’s top ten famous hotels and their former guests includes the former United States President Richard Nixon, actor Clark Gable and NBA star Michael Jordan.

There was a variety of many different kinds of people- differences that ranged from race to gender, from age to height, and from dressing style to personalities, and from transportation to job. The topic of this report is on the book, ‘When China Ruled the Seas: The Treasure Fleet of The Dragon Throne’ by Louise Levathes. This book was written to narrate the history of China’s gigantic treasure fleet and the policies and events that changed the Ming Dynasty and eventually reached a global influence.
