Times are changing, therefore we must change also. With all of the technology available to us, we would be crazy to not take advanced of it. Computers, laptops, tablets, and smart phones make information attainable in a second. The “social” aspect that technology brings to the table is high debated however. Personally, I believe that social media is taking over the world in a good way and it is simply amazing. “The advance of technology is based on making it fit in so that you don’t really even notice it, so it’s part of everyday life.” This quote by Bill Gates truly captures what technology and social media are. While I do believe that social media is good, I also understand the negative aspects that often follow. Social media is the main key in which humans communicate. Humans can communicate with others half way around the world with a click of a button. How is that not appealing? Platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and FaceTime allow for this easy communication. The ability to talk to however you want, whenever you want, is truly amazing. Without social media, to contact someone from far away would include a hefty phone bill and some serious stress (Moreau). Humans can receive instant news. People no longer need to wait around for the news at 6:00 p.m. People simply have to access social media to receive the latest news.
