You probably have noticed that most of your toys or things are made in China or your clothes are commonly made in Taiwan. Well, the reason for all this stuff from other places is Globalization. Globalization is the idea and process of having something go worldwide like Mcdonalds, for example, they are all over the world. It’s mostly made possible by how well our communication works these days. Back up 5-10 years and communication was not as close to as fast as it is today with instant messaging and chat rooms (How Has Globalization). Many things can go global like food chains, products/sold goods, and even traditions or culture (How Has Globalization). Globalization has allowed the spreading of almost everything and made it accessible to everyone. Where this can be good it has another side such as outsourced jobs, a melding of cultures, and the higher chance of spreading an invasive species or disease (Collins). Globalization has led to free trade across many countries and allows for much lower prices for our market. With this trading of goods, products, and services, there is also information being shared about recent research and allows for the movement and melding of knowledge across the globe. With Globalization it allows the smaller more undeveloped countries to earn money and produce goods for the larger countries at a better price. “Gradually there is a world power that is being created instead of compartmentalized power sectors. Politics is merging and decisions that are being taken are actually beneficial for people all over the world” (Collins). With all these things happening and contributing to a better global community it has greatly helped with improving relations
