If you do the math, that’s about 1 in 9 people global that deal with the issue of hunger. The majority of our global hunger involves most people that live in third world countries where there’s at least 12.9 percent of the population that is living in poverty. Global hunger is caused by poverty. When we think of hunger, we tend to think of food and how only poor people are the only ones hungry. Two point five percent of the US is vegan, which is a total of 7.5 million individuals. People do not realize the amount of individuals that are vegan due to the low percentage that is vegan. Since the general public forgets about them, they usually have a difficult time because the number of vegans is scarce thus causing limited vegan options. Either people do not understand Veganism or they do not want to. The effects of Veganism are the physical and mental changes on the body, the struggles that vegans face, and the effects on the environment.
What are the reasons behind the food shortage in the world today? The world produces enough to feed the entire global population of 7 billion people. And yet, one person in eight on the planet goes to bed hungry each night. In some countries, one child in three is underweight. There are many reasons for the presence of hunger in the world and they are often interconnected.People living in poverty cannot afford nutritious food for themselves and their families. In the economically unpredictable country, the United States of America, there is obvious signs of corporate exploitation of the middle and lower classes in terms of economic status. However, the last thing you would think of are these huge food corporations scheming a class-based geographical empire of fast food chains with a scarcity of supermarkets. We may be entering a new and dangerous phase of human history where food water and energy shortages threaten not only worse poverty but also civic unrest and international conflict. There are a number of reasons for this alarm, the first reason is that in most years we produce only just enough food to cover uses. in fact in six of the last 11 years we actually consumed slightly more food then we produced and the buffer we take from one year to the next has been steadily falling so our system already seems pretty fragile ,but it's when we look into the future that things grow very dire indeed.

Yet, it is hard for us to distribute our resources, and that is the fault of our system.
