For several decades, Poverty has been an issue that has affected millions of people across the country. Regardless of past attempts to solve it, local government still has not been able to fully eradicate poverty. In Dallas this is no exception, even though the city has made huge strides to lower poverty levels the problem will always remain an issue as long as the city’s education system remains the same. I believe jobs in Texas grow faster than oranges do in California, but for many big cities, work alone is not enough to lift people out of poverty. This goes to show that the issue is not only unemployment, it’s underemployment. Regardless of the abundance of jobs in Texas too many require very little skill and give much lower wages. This
