Do you know that a lot of the products we use on a daily basis involve some type of animal testing? Products that we use every single day are tested on animals such as Windex, Post-it notes, and even Vaseline. Animals have been used for testing since the old ages and a lot of scientists depend on the use of these animals for the development of scientific research. But is the use of animals for scientific purposes really necessary in creating these products? Even though some may say that the use of animal testing has contributed greatly to scientific research it isn 't really worth the risk and torture towards them. Animal testing is very cruel, it endangers the life of many animals just because some scientists want to make cosmetics and napkins but are the animals really worth it? They didn 't ask for any of this and for us humans to take control of a species and say that they can do whatever we want to them is absurd. These scientists use such cruel procedures on these animals for their experiments to be successful. “These animals are sometimes kept in barren cages and electro-shocked, poisoned, socially isolated, cut open, starved, crippled, and intentionally inflicted with brain damage in nightmarish experiments”(Kim, 9 - 10). Us humans never really look into the eyes of the other person, would we be okay with someone doing that to someone we love especially if there are other options? The answer is no. The funny thing about this is that it doesn 't actually work
