The first season of CW 's Jane The Virgin made a good impression to both critics and viewers. The finale was something that was intriguing considering the kidnapping of Jane 's (played by Gina Rodriguez) baby. Celebrity Café published a recap of the season premiere that aired on October 12. The first thing that people saw was Jane frustrated about her telenovela and how it was becoming too much to watch. It was weird for her as well since the music being played on her favorite show brings her comfort for some reason.

“Two Kinds” a short story out of Amy Tan’s book “The Joy Luck Club” is a representation of the pressures immigrant children face from their parents. In the story, we follow a young girl named Jing-Mei as she embarks down the road to becoming a Prodigy. Her mother believed that “you could be anything you wanted to be in America” (Tan). For Jing-Mei that meant her mother believed she could become instantly famous. “Of course, you can be a prodigy, too”, her mother told her (Tan).

She needed to show people that she was more than her title and family background. In my thoughts, when I was reading the story, I was thinking about the latest Pakistan movie “Bhaijaan” which is basically similar story as Jing Mei. The movie shows how much the pain one little girl has to go through when she was separated from her family in her childhood. She was going for the vacation with her family and somehow she was separated on the Pakistan broader.
