The Pros And Cons Of Climate Change

Many feel that climate change is not real or doesn't have anything to do to the rising temperature in our world. That the world has done this on different occasion and will continue to do this. It’s nothing new that politicians, religious believers and some scientist have come to the conclusion that there is no climate change and that the rising temperature is not due to human activity. Prokopy, Morton, Arbuckle, Mase and Wilke conducted a survey and found that, “A 2012 Purdue University survey found that 47% of climatologists challenge the idea that humans are primarily responsible for climate change and instead believe that climate change is caused by an equal combination of humans and the environment (37%), mostly by the environment (5%), …show more content…

He and his administration believe that climate change is a hoax and that the government does not need to pay money towards something that is not real. Schulman quote that, “We’re not spending money on that anymore; we consider that to be a waste of your money to go out and do that.” They believe that this money is not being used to its best of its ability and would love to allocate that money else where such as the military or elsewhere were. But as their efforts in dismantling the environmental protection agency enhances, studies have shown that climate change is an issue and should be treated with diligence. It’s very difficult to see our county being lead by a billionaire who says has no intentions in helping himself or his fellow billionaires. Sadar and Fourney state that, “It is difficult to get a man to understand something “climate change” when his salary depends upon his not understanding it.” If Donal Trump really cared about the environment and the people of the United States he would not want to dismantle the environmental protection agency, he would do with all his power to protect the environment. But that wont happen because his cabinet and many friends/donators will lose money if the environmental protection agency sets retractions on the usage of coal, oil and natural gases they will lose a lot of money. Climate change has made great impact that can be detrimental to our planet. NASA researchers studies show that, “Not only was 2016 the warmest year on record, but eight of the 12 months that make up the year — from January through September, with the exception of June — were the warmest on record for those respective months.” That all this pollution gases that are released into our atmosphere are the cause of humans and have lead for the planet to become much warmer in recent years. Climate change is very subtle but as shown, it’s slowly making progress of heating our globe which leads to the melting of the ice caps. The ice caps are slowly melting as we stand and do nothing, “Data from NASA's Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment show Greenland lost 150 to 250 cubic kilometers (36 to 60 cubic miles) of ice per year between 2002 and 2006.” This statistic is very astonishing and absurd to think that so much ice has melted due to climate change. And as the ice melts the ocean levels begin to rise and create another threat, “Global sea level rose about 8 inches in the last century. The rate in the last two decades, however, is nearly double that of the last century.” NASA’s research has shown that due to the weather becoming hotter the ice caps melt and the ocean level beings to rise, leading to many places
