Calvin White 's article "Our schools need to help boys become men" deals with doubting the school as they are failing in helping our boys succeed. This being stated, the article is not persuasive at all. Due to the article not being persuasive, it makes the readers question, is it the school 's duty to help the boys succeed in life or is it up to the individuals to make their own independent choices.
Charter schools are a different type of school that is helpful to some students but not all. What a charter school is, they are privately managed, taxpayer funded schools which are made up from the community. However charter schools are not like private schools they are in fact outlined after public schools. Charter schools are for students who want to achieve a high level education. In the epitome of education, racial segregation is still a major factor in the world today. In today’s society when you hear the word racism, what comes to mind? In the wake of recent events at the University of Columbia – Mizzou, we find that racism is alive and well. You would think in the 20th century, we would have come further along in the way of racial issues and be more tolerable of others regardless of their race. This does not seem to be the case and the question is: Why during this day and age do we as a nation have to deal with or tolerate the negative impacts of racism that infiltrates the core of everything that this nation was built on. Racial segregation not only affects this generation but future generations as well.
Not only the Brown and Board of Education was a prominent historic event in which it highlighted a turning point of the United States government, but its victory also proved how Americans upheld the true meaning of the American Independence Declaration that “all men are created equal”. Supreme Court’s ruled in favor of the Brown and Board of Education and against the states’ law in 1954 was the right decision because it reflects the important role and the great effect of the legislature in translating the laws.

My experience with co-teaching has been beneficial for my class especially for the ELLs and the monolingual students. When my mentor is teaching, my lowest students sit in a different table with me. Differentiation has helped them because they get additional help, clarification of any misconceptions, restating of key vocabulary or key points and also they get to use manipulatives that might help them understand a concept better. This differentiation has helped as they are testing higher in math and two ELL students are now reading at grade level. In a society where both men and women have to work together harmoniously, a co-ed education initially seems to be the more viable option since it prepares students for real-world experiences. Although every student has different learning styles, a student would, however, ultimately benefit from the tailored curriculum and comfort of a single-sex educational environment.
Single-Gender Schools Should not be Tolerated in this Day and Age. Single gender schools affects are gender stereotyping, inability to work with the opposite gender, and inhabits opportunities for the different genders to learn from each other (Elliot, 2016). Although single-gender schools have benefits it might not be from differing the genders (Ancheta , 2018). Research also shows no evidence that single gender schools boost in achievement.
