1786 saw the first steam powered automobile capable of transporting humans. This technology has advanced drastically over the past 250 years. The automobiles of today are far more refined, sophisticated, efficient and luxurious machines that have evolved along all lines. This drive train which started with steam engines has now adapted to various other fuel sources such as gasoline, diesel, hybrid, biofuel and electricity. This week's post is going to be on electric vehicles.
Given the information provided in the film, I believe electric cars are a reasonable alternative to combustion engines because they don’t produce harmful emissions like gasoline cars do. According to the film, even the first electric cars were quiet, fast, and produced no exhaust. This is a clear advantage over combustion engines, which produces exhaust that contains carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and nitrogen oxide. Not only do they produce no emissions, but electric cars do not need as much maintenance as combustion engines do. This is due to the fact that there are no spark plugs or oil to be changed. Additionally, the cost of gasoline is on the rise and someone out there is making money that we could be saving through the use of electric
In the industry of automobiles, electric vehicles are a new emerging concept. Different automobile companies have modeled their cars with different specifications. We have those companies that have designed proactive vehicles that use only electricity. We have companies that design hybrid cars which run on both gas and electricity.
If we switch over to all electric engines, the gas industry will have a drastic decline in business and could possibly go out of business. Gas stations make it easy to just fill up and go more miles, while electric needs time to fill up, and also needs special electric service requirements of 220 volt plugs sometimes and higher amperages to charge the vehicle. Gas stations also provide a place to buy food for the road. I believe that gasoline engines overpower electric for many reasons, mostly because electric is les reliable than
Cars are the most important products in the modern lifestyle. Whether it’s going to work, school, the mall, or even your friend’s house, it’s likely that you will be using a car to get there. As you all know, cars can have drastically different prices and look drastically different as well. I’m sure everyone here has a car, and I’m also sure everyone here will be buying another car in the future. Whether you want a car that can fit a large amount of people, or a sports car that can go extremely fast, an electric car will almost always be the best option for you.
The driverless car technology is an idea whose time has come, which is characterized by the presence of autonomous cars in certain roads. It is a technology that has significant potential of positively transforming road transport. Corporations such as Google, Bosche, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Tesla and Nissan have already started testing autonomous vehicles on public roads (Keating, 2015). Advocates of the new technology assert that driverless cars will have a substantial social impact by saving lives resulting from human errors. In addition to that, driverless cars will play an enormous role in clearing up the roads. However, a section of people believe that the new technology would have pertinent ethical concerns besides presenting possible hacking vulnerabilities. This paper shows that the technology’s ability to significantly guarantee road safety makes it an exceptional technology, which should be embraced.

Attention Getter: It was Sunday at park, two college students were discussing about cars. One of them said that imagine about two decades ago, it appeared there was no effective alternative to the gasoline and oil, but now there is a better, cleaner, and more effective substitute to them: electricity. Although electric engines are not so widespread, more and more people consider changing their gasoline-fueled vehicles to electric cars. Then I discovered why electric cars are the future.
Feel like saving a couple bucks, how about hundreds? I have chosen to do my informative speech on the impact of Electric Cars on the automotive industry, the environment, the economy, and society today. Electric cars have formed a large scale impact on the automotive industry itself, providing a lot more options for people looking for a car. The environment is helped by these cars because there are less emissions produced by these cars as opposed to traditional gas. The economy has changed as a result of this because the cars do not require gasoline fill ups to run, but electric bills will rise as a result of charging. Society has benefited as well, providing a more diverse selection of automobiles, offering a more upfront cost and a lower
Gasoline and diesel are fossil fuels and aren 't infinite. Battery electricity are better, they don’t pollute and don 't burn fossil fuels. Instead of having a gas tank and having to fill it up at a gas station, these cars have batteries in their place and can be recharged with a larger charging station and needs 220 volts. The recharged batteries stay charged until the car is driven. Some people say that battery powered cars are slower, but it isn’t by much and battery powered cars think is worth slowing down a little if it means saving the planet. Most electrical powered cars can last around 50 miles before needing to be recharged. No Matter what people will not change because they are stubborn so I hope there is a low against gas cars.
Tesla, Google, Nissan and other companies now shifted their focus on driverless cars. However, the issue of allowing driverless cars access into our community has been broadly debated in our society. It is a significant matter because it concerns the street development and road safety of how we drive in the future. Towards this particular subject there has been a range of different arguments that have been put forward. Robotic cars should enter society because they are convenient. They will improve road safety, decrease street traffic, reduce human errors on the road and time will be saved, making the journey enjoyable.
Global warming as became a huge concern for today’s world. The rise of alternative fuel sources is to help this worldwide problem, as a result, electric cars have started to become a familiarity to everyday roads. Electric cars have many benefits and potentially does help with global warming, but it may not be as environmental-friendly as advertised.
Hybrid and other green technology has become more and more popular in the last several years, especially considering the advancements and breakthroughs that have been powering it up. Plug-ins are a form of hybrid car that doesn’t rely only on the engine to charge its battery; this makes it both more versatile and more economical than its conventional hybrid sibling. The 2016 Ford Fusion Energi soon in Seattle comes with the latest
US auto industry is full of auto manufacturing companies, BMW Group, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep, Ford Motors, General Motors, Honda/Acura, Hyundai/Kia, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru are the main competitors in US Auto market.
Electric vehicles are becoming more of everyday reality. Even living in a small town in Mississippi, I have noticed a slow but gradual increase in the number of electric vehicles present on the road. Many major car companies have decided to produce electric alternatives for consumer purchases. There are many factors going into why a person or company would decide to go green. People everywhere are switching to electric vehicles because of their nonharmful effects on the environment, availability of new charging stations, and cost-efficient charging.
