Why does Mexico have such a strong pollution rate? Mexico is surrounded by mountains on three sides, it is also 2,240 meters above sea level, this causes Mexico to have less oxygen, this causes pollution to increase rapidly. Diesel fuels do not burn in the correct form in this altitude, which causes high amounts of black carbon. This investigation will aim to test the effects of air pollution on endangered specie populations in Mexico, this is a very serious global issue since many of the beloved animals that are living in our world are despairing due to human mistakes and carelessness. To test air pollution Research Question: What is the effect of air pollution on endangered species population in Mexico?
Later on, they suck back the water so that the pressure will be released, then the gas will leak out of the cracks of the stone wall and be absorbed back into the pipes. (Dong, n.d.) I believe that hydrofracking wouldn’t be a reliable source of energy for a carbon-free world because our environment will keep getting worse due to pollution, it’s also really costly to build the gas well for hydrofracking. Also, it adds danger to the people who works in hydrofracking fields. The world is changing now. The climate around the world is rising due to all the greenhouse gasses that have been produced by generating electricity.
People complain about pollution from factories, cars, global warming, and the melting of polar ice caps, yet many people disregard the dangerous that come with fracking. Fracking is the process of injecting liquid at high pressure into subterranean rocks, and/or boreholes to force open existing fissures and extract oil or gas. Fracking is causing an epidemic economically and environmentally. Fracking is continuously destroying the earth day by day. From the endless fracking today’s economy is depleting.
A global average temperature rise of only 1C could have serious implications. Possible consequences include melting of polar ice caps; an increase in sea level; and increases in precipitation and severe weather events like hurricanes, tornadoes, heat waves, floods, and droughts. Indirect effects include increases in infectious disease, weather-related deaths, and food and water shortages. All these effects put a stress on ecosystems and agriculture, and threaten our planet as a whole. (Colborn, Kwiatkowski, Schiltz, and Bachran.,
We preserve our planet for future generations by looking at the role science is playing to cut down carbon-based energy to move to renewable low-carbon energy to meet our constantly increasing demands of electricity consumption. Green electricity benefits us to produce electricity from sources which would not harm or pollute our environment. For sure, few electricity bases may also have influences but they are much greener than the others. The most suitable energy sources are the renewable energy sources, as they will never expire or run out. (Figueiredo, João Neiva De, 2014) Nuclear energy is number one in the production of electricity.
Nuclear energy is an environmentally friendly, green energy source. A small amount of fuel can produce large amounts of nuclear energy. This is quite an economically beneficial source of energy, but with all the benefits that it derives, there are also severe disadvantages that come along. The cost of nuclear power is competitive and stable. The cost of nuclear fuel is a small part of the price of a nuclear kilowatt-hour, whereas fossil fueled power, especially oil and gas, depend on the market prices which go up and down every month.
To follow up that staggering number, the EPA estimates that 75 percent of all water-quality problems in America’s rivers and streams. Water polluted with agricultural runoff can destroy whole ecosystems and be toxic, if not lethal to humans and animals alike”(5 Ways Factory Farming is Killing the Environment by Kate last name N/A). if factory farms keep running their businesses then they will soon lead to all of our water sources being polluted and destroyed leaving us with no fresh clean water. Factory farms are damaging our environment to a point where it will not be able to be
If having disgusting matter in the water was not bad enough, the amount of greenhouse gas emissions are just as bad. According to a source, most of the gas emissions come from the electricity that it requires to run a slaughterhouse. “The main source of these emissions is from the electricity used to run the slaughterhouses and to get rid of the previously mentioned wastewater as well as packing, cooling and transporting the dead animals” (Farr). The reason why greenhouse gases are dangerous to the environment is because they have been connected to global warming. Two of the most common pollutants from slaughterhouses are carbon dioxide and methane.
The ice from glaciers, the ice sheets and permafrost are already melting and will probably continue to melt at a higher rate in the future leading to rises in ocean levels (IPCC, 2014). Furthermore, it causes the emission of methane (also a GHG), stored mostly in the Arctic regions (Shakhova et al., 2007) which in turn leads to increased heat in the atmosphere, further aggravating climate change. GHGs cause the oceans to contain increasingly more acids, which damages coral reefs and negatively influences the amount of CO2 the ocean can absorb (IPCC, 2014). Weather conditions are becoming progressively extreme and a rise in floods, hurricanes and temperatures can already be measured and will further increase in the future (USGCRP, 2014). Weather incidents could destroy forests and swamps, which causes less CO2 to be absorbed naturally.
By harnessing energy from the sun, dependence on more environmentally harmful sources as oil and coal can be decreased. This is a great alternative to these nonrenewable resources. Solar energy reduces the destruction of pristine forests. These forest make carbon dioxide to clean up the toxins in the air. Without all of these forest the climate changes rapidly. Solar power keeps this from happening. A positive effect of solar power is that it saves you money.
