International cybercrimes is often an objection to the usefulness of domestic and international law and law enforcement. Because the actual laws in many countries are not oriented to cope with cybercrime, criminals increasingly deal crimes on the Internet in order to yield advantages of the less serious punishments or difficulties of being found out who are the criminals. During our research on Cybercrimes in Mauritius, We notice that Cybercrime is not that famous compare to U.S.A. But there is something called Cyber bullying. Cyber-bullying is a universal anomaly which can affect individuals from numerous continents. Its definition might be as simple as maintaining to send a message through means of technology to someone who has said he wants no further contact with the sender.
Nowadays this latter in affecting the child safety online, According to Mr. Ismael Bawamea that most Mauritian parents consider that they are actually inspecting their very close online but this is not the case according to an ICSF overview administered in Mauritius, it has been established that less than 10% of parents are following their children on websites. In this article, “Lets Kids Run Wild Online” by Danah Boyd, Boyd explains how parents are mistreating teenagers when using the internet. Explaining how “helicopter parents” are restricting access to certain media and limiting their overall use of the internet. Parents being feared that their children will encounter dangers while using the internet block and limit access to many sites. I for one am against parents restricting access to social media and the rest of the internet as it could stunt their performance as an adult when growing up, as they could not have essential skills that they should have learned in their teen years.
In Elizabeth Swoboda 's "Iritual Sault", she claims that cyberbullies use the psychology of online communities to attack and hurt other people and she gives ways to combat these bullies. The advancement of technology has given so much to the development of this world, yet many people choose to abuse this technology to harm others through a bullying called "cyberbullying". Swoboda gives an example of cyberbullying that talks about a young lady named Caitlyn Seida who was chastised for posting a picture of her wearing a Lara Croft costume to a Halloween costume party. Seida was a victim of cyberbullying. Swoboda, throughout the article, talks about problem that is cyberbullying and how it is affecting our children, our communities, and the world.
