Imagination or lack of imagination either broadens or limits the reason behind interviews. If interlocutors are too busy to meet or demanding to interview, then it is not an excuse to choose other interlocutors. Interview techniques and pertinent questions are chosen ahead of interviews. Deception is part of all interviews whether it is to protect one owns intentions as an interviewer or encouraging someone else to share information.

Enhancing comfort among monitors to conduct interviews requires training and real-time exposure to interlocutors. A pen and notebook are carried at all times and used repeatedly. Preparedness and ability to respond expands access to interlocutors and territories.
Exposure to real-life encounters allows exploring and practising interview techniques and taking a step back to learn and reflect.

If already familiar with interview techniques, then the aim is to rehearse. Experience is a sleeping pillow. Anticipating the information requirements as information opportunities nurse the facilitating role and autonomously performing a specific set of tasks. DESCRIPTION In week five we learnt about communication channels, it means the mode of communication people use to communicate in an organisation in order to perform tasks. INTERPRETE It is important to choose the correct form of communication when dealing with employees because communication develop good relationship among people without misunderstanding .When communicating we need to choose the right channel to communicate for example using electronic ,face to face communication ,written communication ( Samson & Daft 2015).By coming up with effective communication I will need to identify how choose wisely to avoid misunderstanding among ourselves.
One to one communication: One to one communication is a conversation between two people; which does not include a third person. This type of conversation has a start; which means the conversation has to start off with a greeting, one to one communication al so includes a middle section, which is when you and the person discuss the topic or of what your both going to be speaking about. This particular type of communication also needs an ending, for example when the conversation is coming to an end you can end it by saying “good bye” or “see you later”. Group communication: group communication is when everyone is involved in the conversation/ discussion, it works out best id there is someone in charge such as a team leader , who makes sure everyone
In this assignment I filmed myself interviewing a classmate using engagement techniques and I also wrote a paper assessing myself. I included both the video and the paper below for reference. I was aware of both my verbal and nonverbal communication in the interview and I evaluated how they affected the interview in the paper. I felt that overall I did well engaging the “client” by maintaining good eye contact, nodding, and practicing attentive listening. I asked several open-ended questions and closed-ended questions, as well as used other verbal statements to show empathy to the “client”.
According to the textbook face validity is, “the extent to which an instrument appears to measure what it says it measures”. After reviewing the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NAMCS) and the NAMCS Electronic Medical Record Supplement Survey, the surveys both meet the definition of face validity. Content validity, according to textbook is, “the rigorous determination that the instrument represents all relevant aspects of a topic”. The NAMCS, for the most part, meets the definition of content validity. On page 3, question number 9a and 9b needs to be re-sequenced.
On June 15, 2016, I conducted my interview with Roya Kamalzadeh. The interview was a fun and an interesting look into my co-worker and friend’s psyche. My original plan was to conduct the interview at Beatley Library, a library close to my home. I realized that the library would not be the best place to conduct the interview, because there were no private rooms in the library and I did not want to be interpreted with loud noises. For the previously stated reason I thought that neither of our homes would be an ideal location, so we did the interview in her car in the parking lot.
If a source does not want to give an interview and the reporter urges on, it can give a bad reputation considering everything can easily be shared on social media. In some cases, group interviews are considered the most valuable option for people who have been part of a traumatic event because
A semi-structured interview is a qualitative research method undertaken to answer set questions while also giving the interviewer the opportunity to explore other areas of discussion (Evaluation Toolbox, 2010). Unlike questionnaires, interviews involve social interaction and require participants to essentially give data straight to the researcher of the experiment (McLeod, 2015). Structured interviews are generally formal and make the interviewer follow a strict set of questions so they do not stray into other questions that are not necessary. However, semi-structured interviews allow the interviewer to diverge into other topics when it feels appropriate to do so while also covering questions which are mandatory to bring up in the interview (Cohen, 2006). When used with multiple participants, semi-structured
Interviews are usually open-ended question formatted used without assumption in order to gain information. Interviews are meant to be friendly and loose in structure whereas, interrogations are meant as times to put the person being interviewed at a psychological disadvantage. Interrogations have a controlled and directed format; they have an assumption of guilt and are used for suspects. Examples of interrogation techniques are the good cop bad cop, PEACE and the Reid. The Reid Technique is a nine step process which will be further examined in the later.
This could be to specific group, for instance a support group for deaf people, teaching service users or for meetings. In group communication, every individual participating will try and get their personal ideas and thoughts across, especially if they disagree with a point raised (Storming stage: Tuckman group communication theory). In health and social care, group communication is mostly used in a meeting arrangement, as it allows a number of different agencies or care providers with in one agency to focus on particular aspect of care, or on a service user and the care that currently being provided. Communications between Colleagues not only on a one to one basis but in a group setting is key, to everyone working successfully, the performing stage of Tuckman group communication theory. Within a health and social care an absence or lack of tolerance and understanding for fellow employees might create a negative emotional atmosphere, it may only personally affect two people, but will ultimately affect everyone working with them, and possibly decreasing the level of care to their service
Communication in a crisis is vital. It is often the first aspect of teamwork to go because many team members have different ways of dealing with a crisis. It is important to slow down for a moment and communicate what you are doing so there aren’t any errors. Simply stating what you are doing allows the other teammates to plan for their next steps. Organization is also hard to keep when things change unexpectedly.
However, the most important thing to remember is to use questioning appropriately. Improper or insincere questioning of either kind can lead to the client feeling like they are on trial; consequently placing them on the defensive. Or worse yet, ending the session and never returning (Ivey, Ivey, & Zalaquett, 2014, p.120). Beginning with the advantages of open questionings we see that they promote an environment of free expression which often leads to more creative talking accompanied by a fullness of detail (Ivey, Ivey, & Zalaquett, 2014, pp.
An interview is much more than a simple question & answer session. It is a pursuit of information and knowledge that you can’t find in neither books nor journals. What you get out of an interview is the core of a human soul’s experiences in life. For my interview, I went for a person that can tell me about information that wouldn’t be found elsewhere. Being part of a specific field, it was quite hard knowing what to ask and what not to.
In addition, effective communication is one of the most important factors that can influence the result of team’s work. Whether there is a good result of group’s work
