Evidence of this phenomenon for example are: Airbnb which can boast a higher valuation than the Hyatt hotel chain, Uber has currently higher valuation than traditional car rental as Hertz and AVIS. Beyond individual firms, there are now thousand cities across four continents where people can share cars. The global sharing economy market was valued at $26 billion in 2013 and some predict it will grow to become a $ 200 billion revenue market in the coming years. The revenue flowing through the sharing economy directly into people’s wallets will growth by 25%, according to Forbes. The business model – where peers can offer and purchase goods and services from each other through an online platform – continues to be applied to new industries from car sharing to peer-to-peer fashion, among many others. Regulation is often the most significant barrier to future growth for sharing economy firms. The sharing economy is a new concept and many regulators are unfamiliar with the business model. Additionally, because the whole “a square is a rectangle but a rectangle is not a square” analogy pertains to nonprofits, conceptually we can’t use the trend between nonprofit organizations and social connectedness. Support groups are dissimilar in a way that it is a method of social connectedness but still does not provide the same properties as traditional civic associations. Putnam refers to Robert Wuthnow regarding support groups, “small groups merely provide occasions for individuals to focus on themselves in the presence of others” (Putnam, “Bowling Alone: America’s Declining Social Capital” p. 390).

It was spectacular to learn that Keystone Community Services is a non-profit organization. The funding sources and mission of Keystone Community Services was intriguing and powerful to see an organization that strives to improve a quality of life. In addition, it was amazing to learn about the multi-services program provided under Keystone Community Services. However, I reconsidered and would like to point a change in the organizations. As I understand not only do Keystone Community Services own community reach out, but other nearby communities reach out Keystone assistances.

Charities provide essential services that positively impact the lives of citizens such as, building schools, hospitals, and etc. The Greater New Orleans Foundation is one of the oldest and largest foundations in New Orleans. Every day, the foundation joins other foundations, non-profit organizations, community leaders, and many others help out the community and solve its problems. It helps create a strong and tolerable community to make individuals feel safe.

With a little donation you could be the reason why our future generations are improving, the world is safe, and there is now no child hungry.
