Stress is a visitor too all of humanities life-span and if not to all, then to most of us. According to Mayo clinic’s website, “Stress symptoms can affect your body, your thoughts and feelings, and your behavior. Being able to recognize common stress symptoms can give you a jump on managing them. Stress that 's left unchecked can contribute to many health problems, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity and diabetes”. ("How stress affects your body and behavior", 2017).
Health Psychology can be a leading expert into investigating the why we stress, what makes us stress, what happens or could happen from stress and how to relieve stress of a behaviour we may have developed from it. Health professionals in Psychology base their interventions on a number of models that try to explain peoples health-related behaviour.
According to the Journal of Psychosomatic Research Volume 41 & Volume 48, Issue 2. Two studies have approached the matter relating health concerns to stress. One reporting that from a longitudinal study on 90 staff members in a large department that the” results indicate that the associations between restraint and stress-induced eating that have been observed in the laboratory extend to the real-life setting. Stress is something we all go through and over time our stress beings to build up. Many believe that stress starts to impact one 's life by the time they start middle school or the beginning of their teenage years. The transition from elementary to middle school into high school can be very intense. Students become highly influenced by their surroundings which makes them susceptible to descended into unhealthy coping mechanisms. At this point in time their lives are shifting dramatically, they will be encountering many different people.
When researching the topic of stress management in the workplace, I used the methods of the MEAL Plan and Reverse outlining to break down the articles and to begin organizing the main points of my writing assignments. These three units of the course helped prepare me for the next two units.

There are four main perspectives in psychology. These are known as; biological perspective, learning perspective, cognitive perspective, and sociocultural perspective. Each perspective aids in the understanding of human behavior. However, not one perspective can explain all of human behaviors. This is due to each perspective playing different roles in ones behavior.

For physical health it can cause head and stomach aches, sleep problems, chest pain and even a change in your se drive. Stress refers to a dynamic interaction between the individual and the environment. In this interaction, demands, limitations and opportunities related to work may be perceived as threatening to surpass the individual's resources and skills. Stress is any physical or psychological stimulus that disturbs the adaptive state and provoked a coping response The increasing interest in stress research is probably because we live in a world that includes many stressful circumstances and stress has been a global phenomenon. It has become an integral part of life and is said to be the price we all pay for the struggle to stay alive.
- The restrictive eater. These kind of eaters restrict their food intake, which in turn increases their stress because they stop themselves from eating certain kinds of foods. These eaters diet frequently, many a times by ignoring entire food groups and depriving their body of vital nutrients. Restrictive eaters keep binging, putting themselves in a stress-related eating situation, leading to life-long weight fluctuations.
Stress involves interaction of the person and environment. To quote a definition: “Stress is an adaptive response to an external situation that results in physical, psychological and / or behavioural deviations for organizational participants” (Luthans, 1998). Stress has generally been viewed as a set of neurological and physiological reactions that serves an adaptive function (Franken, 1994). Traditionally, stress research has been oriented toward studies involving the body's reaction to stress and the cognitive processes that influence the perception of stress. However, social perspectives of the stress response have noted that different people experiencing similar life conditions are not necessarily affected in the same manner (Pearlin, 1982).
3. Review of literature 3.1 Stress and its types: Stress is an essential mediator of human behaviour. Immediate physiological response to any type of stressor facilitates survival of the species at its maximum. Despite of normal homeostatic regulatory mechanism, the stress responses can become maladaptive. Chronic stress, for example immobilization, exposure to noise, irradiations, psychological stress can leads to a host of adverse health consequences, including cardiovascular diseases, neurodegeneration, obesity, depression and early ageing (McEwen et al, 2004).
Stress is a ubiquitous part of everyday life. There is no way to avoid stress but you can learn to manage it. Stress can be caused through distinct ways and distinct reasons such as personal problems, social and job issues, post-traumatic stress and so on. You may have headache, feeling anxiety and depression, and easily irritated if did not handle stress well. Reduce stress in daily life is important to keep overall health since it will let you to have better frame of mind, enhance immunity and longevity so you can be more productive.
