The Mormon faith has over 70 denominations. However, they all fall under the umbrella of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS) or the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (FJCLDS). The different denominations have different books, but all of the required books for the LDS teaching are the Holy Bible which includes both Old and New Testament, Book of Mormon, the Doctrine, and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price, including the Book of Moses. Excluding the Old and New Testaments, these books teach about the belief in tiers of heaven. These tiers are: Telestial, Terrestrial and Celestial Kingdoms. When it comes to the Mormon faith, there are a lot of rules and some may feel they are unusual. I will explain the cons of the Mormon faith and how it contradicts biblical teachings in the Christian faith.
The books that the LDS church teaches contradict what is taught in the Holy Bible. In LDS, it is taught that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are 3 different

These levels are: Telestial, Terrestrial, and Celestial. The Celestial Kingdom is the highest level of heaven. In order to make it to this level Mormons believe that you need to work and get married to go to the Celestial Kingdom along with married men who have completed their mission, their whole family was baptized and had a marriage through the temple. The next level down is the Terrestrial Kingdom. This level is for the good people of the earth “who were blinded by the craftiness of men” or basically they did not live according to the gospel of Jesus Christ when it was presented to them or accepted Jesus and then turned away. The Telestial kingdom is the lowest level and this is where “Servants of God, but "where God and Christ dwell they cannot come, worlds without end". All these levels and who will be entering into these levels are written in the LDS book, Doctrine, and

Of course, Krakauer does agree that most Mormons are peaceful, industrious, and law-abiding. He also takes as given that the mainstream LDS church rejects the idea that the splinter groups he is describing have anything to do with modern Mormon beliefs. But nevertheless, the fundamentalist extremists Krakauer profiles use the same book of scripture and espouse most of the same religious
In this exploration, there will be a comparison on the worldviews of Mormonism and orthodox Christianity, shedding light on their distinctive perspectives concerning the nature of God and historical narratives. This centers on the core beliefs of orthodox Christianity, which uphold the Trinitarian doctrine of God, emphasizing the unity of three distinct persons—God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. In contrast, the beliefs of Mormonism, particularly their doctrine of exaltation and eternal progression, will be critically examined considering established orthodox Christian teachings and historical accounts. Through this analysis, the theological contrasts between these two faiths are illuminated, providing insights
The Mormon Church believes that genealogy is about linking families together and has certain religious ordinances like baptism. They believe that they can baptize the deceased by proxy in their sacred temples. They enjoy learning about their ancestors and gathering records, documenting their existence including birth, marriage, death, military as well as collecting and storing them. It is a concerted effort by the church and children are indoctrinated very early in the importance to know about family. The result is the largest holding and collection of genealogical records in the world in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Which means this religion is monotheistic. They believe that god is the father, the son, and the holy spirit. They also believe that god created man. Also, if you are a southern baptist then you adhere very closely to the bible. If the member is baptised that means they are baptised in that church, but if they go to another southern baptist church maybe not in that particular area then they have to get baptised in that church too.
The Mormon Mistakes Throughout history, religion has negatively affected its own members. This is especially true with the Mormon Church, a denomination of Christianity founded in the 1820s. This church like any other has helped better people 's lives in spiritual ways. However, there are people that are denied this betterment, people that are discriminated against, and people that are being lied to.
The amount of unrestricted power one person can have is unbelievable and frankly must be limited. One researcher reasons the Mormons’ supreme leader, who is also called the prophet or president, word is said to be supreme. The supreme leader’s followers can be disciplined to neglect or scorn those who show any signs of defiance (Hitchens). This statement proves that religious cult leaders, such as the leaders of the Mormon church, have absolute power over their followers. The prophet can control how his followers respond in any situation and that type of power is excessive and unneeded.
However, they are most likely representative of the Church who would have already been raptured at this point. Some suggest they are angelic beings, but this is very unlikely as angels had never been portrayed in scriptures as sitting on thrones or having crowns on their heads. These descriptions only fits redeemed saints who Jesus promised they will reign with Him (Matt 19:28; Luke 22:30). In addition, the Greek word translated here as “elders” is never used to refer to angels, only to men, particularly to men of a certain age who are mature and able to rule the Church. The word elder would be inappropriate to refer to angels, who do not age.
The Mormon Pioneers The definition of a pioneer is one who goes before to prepare or open up the way for others to follow. The Mormon pioneers were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who migrated across the United States from the Midwest to the Salt Lake Valley in what is today the U.S. state of Utah. The movement of the Mormon pioneers was due to the founding of the mormon religion which began not long before their migration with a man named Joseph Smith on April 6, 1830 in Fayette, New York. New York State in the early 1800s was known as the "Burned Over District" because the controversy over religion was fierce and the numerous different organizations caused him to wonder about which one would be the best

However, not all Mormons believe in the apocalypse. In fact, officials of the church don't encourage their people to believe in it because they don't think it is really coming to an end anytime soon. One their late leaders even told their followers to plan for long, productive lives. NASA on the other hand also didn't say that the world is going to end this September.

Old fashioned, hand made clothing, reserved lives, playgrounds that only consist of a cement slab, and a school system that only teaches through the eighth grade are peculiar to the outside world. These oddities are just the surface of the unusual practices that take place in the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. The FLDS church is one of the largest Mormon fundamentalist denominations and one of the largest organizations in the United States whose members practice polygamy. Polygamy is illegal, in 1890 the Mormon church ended its practice of polygamy, which created a split in the church. Fundamentalists moved to secluded areas where they could continue their practice of plural marriage.
