The campaign was a huge success and had amazing results on social media and on the financials of Turkish Airlines. The three videos that featured three megastars ( Kobe Bryant, Lionel Messi, ) were watched all over the world and made the campaign very effective and enhanced Turkish Airline’s brand awareness and made the company one of the most well known airlines in the world.
The campaign was mostly based on two key ingredients, that when properly used, can lead to very successful advertising: celebrities and humor.
Three carefully chosen celebrities, world famous sport figures, participated in the campaign. To the eyes of the viewers the three sport stars reflected success, talent, hard work, strength and esteem. Turkish Airlines could pick some cities that are still not among its destinations, post them on social media and in the company’s official website and ask the people to vote for the city they want the company to consider as a new destination.
It’s a way to let the people feel that they are part of the company and that they can help and that their voices are heard.
