“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.” A teacher is defined as someone who passes his or her knowledge down to others. Teachers have a huge responsibility in our society as they are in charge of teaching the younger generations. If one year a class has a teacher that does not know what they are doing or does not care, then that class will be suffer next year, as they will not be knowledgeable on the subject. But what makes a good teacher? A good teacher likes the subject they teach, active outside of school, and friendly to the students. "The only way to do great work is to love what you do.” A good teacher loves the subject that they teach. A good teacher will go above and beyond in explaining and show interest with each question asked. A good teacher is also well acquainted with the subject and knows what they are doing. They in turn will give students a good experience with the subject and inspire others to delve deeper into that subject. A bad teacher just teaches so they can get money to pay the bills. They are not enamored with the subject they teach and are not even really knowledgeable in the subject. This in turn will affect the students as not only does it screw up the learning process since the teacher did not teach well, but the students themselves after spending a year with someone who expressed disdain for a certain subject, will start to feel hate for that subject.
