National Honor Society is a great opportunity for me. I heard that there is a lot of people who have good leadership and provide awesome ideas in national Honor Society. I would like to be member of this, acquire a great experience, and share my ideas to contribute volunteer, donations and so on. I love to see people are happy when I help them. joining NHS would allow to me grow as a person and provide me a way to go a great future.
Within a fellowship of individuals, honor is highly esteemed. The sharing of common attitudes and being united through service, binds a society. Being a member of the National Honors Society would bring me countless opportunities to further my academic career, allow me to give back to my community, and introduce me to accomplished student leaders who have the same perseverance I do. Academics has been a significant aspect of my life ever since I was little, I constantly try and challenge myself with rigorous courses such as honors, AP, and IB courses, I have also been on the honor roll since middle school. However, scholarship is not my only strength, as a member of numerous teams; I am familiar with the ideals of community and leadership
It is a great honor to be nominated as a member of the National Honor Society. There are many reasons why I want to take part in NHS. One reason why I want to be in it is to continue to grow academically with people who have the same goals as me. I want to be encouraged, not discouraged by the people around me. If I get into NHS, it will give me a lot of opportunities to be a leader. Another reason why is I will get the opportunity to serve my local community; doing more service work will help me to be better as a person. Being in NHS will help build who I am as student. I always want to improve and learn from my flaws. Being in the National Honor Society will not only help me academically but also as a better person to the
I greatly appreciate my nomination to be considered for induction into the National Honors Society. I would be honored to join such an organization as it would not only provide opportunities for myself, but also encourages and emphasizes the importance of service to community. Before and during high school, I have been active in serving the community in a consistent way. Other activities I do also influence and shape the way in which I approach service and leadership tasks.
time and personal interests for others. I believe I fit this description because I take time
It is an extraordinary honor to be considered as a candidate for the National Honor Society. Being considered means I have achieved my goal in demonstrating my determination- in school and outside of school- and my willingness to aid people in my community. Being a part of such a prestigious organization is an enormous responsibility to which I will fully devote my time. Ever since I was a freshman, my goal was to work diligently to be among the highest scholars and to be accepted into this scholarly “hall of fame”. Through my relentless hard work and perseverance, I believe that I possess the four characteristics of a National Honor Society member- leadership, service, character, and scholarship.
I've always taken joy in being a leader. Having the ability to help guide someone in the right direction intrigues me. That's why I would love to have a leadership position in National Junior Honors Society. I'm specifically interested in being the president, but if I don't get it, I would love to fill another position. I promise that if given the opportunity, I will be a responsible, honest, creative, committed, positive, and productive leader. I will also do my best to show good character, leadership, citizenship, service, and scholarship because I know that these qualities are very important for the National Junior Honors Society and that they are also very important to me.
Leadership is when someone has a positive influence on people and brings out the best in them. I am a leader of the junior class student body as being a member of student council. I am a member of the Lady Titan Varsity Soccer team, a member of Key Club and Junior Optimist, and holding a job, all while maintaining good grades. I encourage people to get involved in various activities and can be depended on to help whenever while having fun and enjoying life. So I am a leader to those younger than me and older.

Each of the National Honor Society’s four pillars, character, scholarship, leadership, and service, are a part of what the students of NHS embody in who they are and how they act. Character is the sum of who a person is and how they act, be it good or bad. Attaining good character is very important because one’s character will seep out into all aspect of one’s life and permeate into the decisions they make. Scholarship represents the importance of education and learning. Through good grades, high test scores, and academic excellence one develops a love for lifelong learning. Leadership shows one can rise to the occasion and influence people in a positive way. Everybody can lead, whether it be in an official leadership position or by leading
Leadership can be achieved in two ways; leading by example, and being a vocal leader. I believe that I am capable of both types of leadership. Most of my experience being a leader comes from sports. I currently play football and basketball. In football, I have always been a quarterback, which means I have always been the vocal leader of my team. As a quarterback, it is my duty to make sure that everyone is in the right place and knows their role in every play. Also, I have to accept responsibility for anything that goes wrong,
I am truly honored to be one of the many outstanding students at Seminole High School who are being considered for admission into our chapter of the National Honor Society. I feel that I fulfill the expectations of the Society because I exemplify scholarship, leadership, service, and character in both our school and our community. However, the pillar that I feel that I represent best is service. After more than 130 hours volunteering, I feel that I can truly grasp what service means to our community, and how that service exemplifies one of the pillars of the National Honor Society.
Being a leader involves many different characteristics. A leader must set the example for all others in the group, because if they are to show up late to practice, there isn’t a reason that any of the other members should not do the same. A leader must take risks for the benefit of the group as well as make sacrifices for it. Becoming the leader of the group requires for them to be the most dedicated. They must work harder and not be afraid to lead the group. A leader must be willing and ready to not only give orders but receive them.
In thinking about my definition of leadership, I thought of what was most important to me in and as a leader. Leadership is can mean different things to different people. To me, leadership is more than having a title and subordinates. Leadership is having the courage to make the right choices, engage others in a vision, and empower your subordinates with a shared purpose and to achieve positive impacts. Leadership can also be relational which means it takes teamwork, requires you to be able to work with others in various backgrounds and that may have difference perspectives. Leadership also requires continuous learning, discerned decision making, and savvy communication skills. True leadership requires one to be able to understand, inspire, motivate, and communicate with others. Good
There are many different views and perceptions on leadership and what it exactly means. This is because there are many different types of leaders and many different views on them. But the basic meaning of leadership is an individual who can select the right group of followers and influence them through their distinct gifts, abilities, skills and knowledge. A leader focuses on the follower and puts out a roadmap to the overall mission and vision; hereby the follower is influenced to willingly and enthusiastically in achieving the mission and vision. The leader achieves this influence by humbly delivering a visionary perception of the future in clear terms that resonates with the follower in terms of their believes and values. Leaders have several
